This is one of those grande dames of the hospitality business. The common area is over the to;, the rooms are warm, large and comfy; the service impeccable; the location is perfect even for Beverly Hills!
I stayed here two days and was clearly impressed with the people and service.
It can be a scene in the evening, but most people are happy to people watch, or to be seen, in this locale.

Mrs. Voyager and I planned a trip to Beverly Hills to celebrate a BIG birthday with family in LA, and having contacted the hotel prior to our arrival, we were delighted at the generous and thoughtful arrangements they so kindly prepared for us!

The suite was spectacular, as were all the hotel staff...from Igor, who greeted us with such a warm welcome, to every other solicitous and helpful staff member we had the pleasure to interact with.

The Beverly Wilshire is a luxe property, with an advantageous position at the foot of Rodeo Drive, within easy walking distance to wonderful shopping and restaurants, and a quick (for LA!) drive to cultural and touristic locations throughout the area. That being said, we really didn't even want to leave the room!

Thank you Beverly Wilshire for making our family so welcome...we enjoyed a truly memorable birthday reunion! Highly recommended!

We were upgraded to a beautiful suite of rooms. The staff were very professional and helpful. This was our first time in L.A. and we had the pleasure of using the Concierge for tours and reservations. We were lucky to have Helen, at the Concierge Desk, book private tours and dinner reservations during our stay. Her professionalism and knowledge of the city helped to make our stay a memorable one.

We were upgraded to a deluxe room "with a view" for a 3 night stay. The front desk staff seemed to be thrilled about our "upgrade" so off we went expectantly. We passed though the main building out the back across to the 'b" building, waited forever for lift, then arrived on the top floor of the Annex building. We opened the door and our heart sank. Really it is not a 5 star room, perhaps 3 star + . The furniture was dated and damaged, the wifi cost $15/day, the balcony was overlooked in every direction, the bed was good, but the heating system was difficult to regulate. Kids running up and down the corridor and slamming the door of the room next to us. I commented about this to the reception staff who told me there were no children on our level, Hmm...

I found the main room for dining very crushed and crowed, very rushed and pushy. We waited for our car for 55 minutes when were were checking out. In general I found this hotel very tired.

The best thing by far about this hotel is its position near Rodeo Drive and the stores in Beverley Hills. Wolfgangs Steak is pretty good as well..

Room Tip: Front Building with a view.

Dear Valued Guest,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to apologize for your disappointment with your guest room as well as your experience in the Blvd. We take great pride in creating exceptional experiences and when we miss the mark, we take it very seriously.

If you would like to speak in greater detail about your stay with us, I would be my pleasure.

Sincerely,

I stayed here for 5 nights with my family in January 2012. We had interconnecting rooms and they were very spacious. The hotel service was top-notch, right from check-in through to room service, concierge, housekeeping and hotel restaurants & bars. The location is excellent, close to Rodeo Drive shopping/dining and not far from The Grove.
Whilst there, we dined at Cut Restaurant which was superb. The Blvd is fabulous for all-day dining. Sidebar is a very cool place for evening drinks!
We enjoyed hot summer conditions right in the middle of winter, and we were very happy to be able to use the pool facilities. The pool service was wonderful too! The Nail Bar is a real gem and I hope to try the Spa next time.
We're all looking forward to our next visit in July :-)

I stayed here for 3 nights during a recent Conference event. The hotel was comfortable and the food delicious. Parking was ridiculous at $40/day. The only other complaint I have is that no one could offer any information on the hotel's history - nothing in the room, lobby or gift shop. Even the concierge could not tell me much about the history of this venerable establishment.

Room Tip: Park somewhere else.
