This is a dinner review from a wednesday night. We arrived about an hour before closing and there appeared to be only one waitress, a busser, and a cashier in the main dining room. We were promptly greeted and seated and the busser brought water right away. It took a bit for the waitress to come over as she was working with the other tables, but when she came over she was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. After ordering the food took a bit longer to come out than I would expect at a restaurant of this type. It may have to do with it being late in the evening. The food itself overall was good. The broccoli cheese soup was fantastic, the salads were really a good size and well portioned with meats, cheeses, and vegetables. The chicken strips were plentiful and the sandwiches tasty. The only thing that was mediocre was the fish and chips. The waitress came by multiple times to check on us. Overall, the meal was good, pricing was reasonable and we will eat here again. The restaurant decor is eclectic, but generally fishing themed. There is a lot of stuff to look at. We weren't offered a kids menu, but there are definitely items on the list for kids to eat. If you are in town, this is a good place to stop in and eat.

I've made this establishment my favorite breakfast spot, but I popped in for supper last night and was blown away by the best fried chicken dinner I've even had with delicious trimmings! An enthusiastic and attentive service staff enhanced my dining experience!

We have stopped at this family-style diner on our way to Mammoth several times over the years. The burgers and sandwiches are hearty and tasty, and the berry pie alone is worth stopping for. Service is always friendly and fast, and the trophy fish display and quirky signs are always fun to check out. One caveat – don’t order the turkey dinner special. Nothing homemade about it – gravy from a can, instant mashed potatoes, and shredded up turkey, with a blob of salty pre-made dressing. I’ll be back, but I’m sticking to the pies and sandwiches.

Great spot in downtown Bishop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Opens everyday from 6 am to 9 pm. They bake all their breads and pastries. Full breakfast menu spans everything from eggs, omelettes, benedicts, pancakes, waffles, french toast, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, bacon, ham, sausage, pork chops, corned beef hash, chicken fried steak, ground chuck and steaks. They also have smaller portions. Lunch offerings range from burgers, cold and hot sandwiches, soups, salads, and chili. dinner items include steaks, chops, chicken, meat loaf and grilled beef liver, salmon, pasta, fish and chips, hot sandwiches, ribs and anything off their lunch menu. Prices are moderate - most full breakfasts range from $6 to $10, lunch from $7 to $10, and dinner from $9 to $19. Pies, cakes and ice cream for dessert. They serve beer and wine. Lots of free off street parking. Roomy clean dinning room is bright and welcoming. Clean restrooms too. Friendly knowledgeable service staff and the orders come out of the kitchen quickly.
