Very outdated room & it didn't feel clean. Duct tape on floor for transition between carpet & tile. Online it looks much better than in real life. Free breakfast was very basic; coffee was terrible. Free wi-fi was nice. Location is convenient.

I chose Elms Motel because it looked like it might be quieter and more personal than the multi-room building style hotels in the area. The manager doesn't smile or greet you in any way. It seems that each guest is more of a bother than a welcome guest, which made me feel uncomfortable. Amenities are just enough to sleep. No extra comforts. The shower head in my room was broken so there was no showering for me for 4 days of hiking. The one common wall to the two connecting rooms is paper thin. You can hear the guests in the next room whispering to each other. When the noise is above a whisper it makes the room less enjoyable. I would be completely happy with this motel at one-half the price, but for what I paid, for the location, I expect much more.

Small clean room abutting town park. Quiet street but centrally located to walk to shops and restaurants. Comfortable bed. Very friendly, family run hotel. (wonderful smell of Indian food when checking in from their home!) We stayed one night after hiking the John Muir trail and it accommodated repacking to fly home and a hot shower.

This is a 1950s style motel. It is single level with several rooms in each building. Parking is in designated spaces adjoining rooms. The staff is pleasant. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Amenities are limited, but include a fish cleaning station. The rooms have no refrigerator. Cable TV and free Wi-Fi are provided. The prices are competitive with other properties in the area. The rooms have a nightstand on each side of the bed and the lighting is adequate for the room. Overall the place seems very well-kept. I would stay here again. They have a continental breakfast available, which consists mainly of cereals and some basic bakery goods.

Room tip: All the rooms are similar. Some have parking spaces right in front of the room.

Motel interior is old and worn. Therefore a little dusty. But after long drive heading to Yosemite, all we needed was a good night sleep.

Price is reasonable, with breakfast in morning. In general room is basic, but good enough. Friendly place.
