Owner description: Like its more famous Yellowstone counterpart, this Napa Valley geyser erupts at regular intervals - every forty minutes, in the case of the Calistoga gusher.

$15.00 each to see this pathetic little stream of water. The "geology" museum a joke and the barnyard animals looked even more bored than we were. Some nice shaded seating areas would be good for a picnic if not for the steep price of admission.

We came across this site be fluke. While driving the back roads of Calistoga we came across a very strong smell of sulfur. After rounding a bend we noticed the sign for Old Faithful and decided to visit. A small fee gets you into the place which doesn't really have much in the way of exhibits. however enough for a short visit and plenty of opportunity to watch the geyser's activity. Every 3-5 minutes the geyser erupts sending sulfuric smelling water approx 30-40 feet into the air. If in the area it is worth the quick visit.

Avoid this if at all possible. The geyser is pathetic, and not worth $30 for two people. The (portable) toilets are disgusting - there is a notice saying that the restrooms have been burned down. For what they charge (and the amount they must make for doing no work at all apart from collecting money) they should have immediately rebuilt the restrooms. They don't even have water to drink, apart from (of course) bottled water for you to buy. A real rip-off.

Geyser went off every 5 minutes when we went which is good as guide book said every 40. Waiting 40 would've been a disappointing wait as some spurts lasted seconds some 3 or 4 minutes. Geyser impressive and they had comfortable seats nearby but all done after 20 minutes. Got a few goats and a llama but entry price excessive.

Expensive visit to see The Old Faitful Geysir. Nice sofas to relax in while you look at the geysir a couple of times. It went off every 5 mns while we were there. In and out in 20 minutes.
