We picked this B&B based on travel books and reviews and were charmed to arrive on this street of lovely little cottages. Cottage Grove Inn is a B&B in terms of providing breakfast and a nice wine and cheese hour, but the privacy of these cottages is not like most B&Bs. The staffing was more hotel like, which was fine. Our cottage had a big bed, comfy chairs facing a fireplace, a huge bathroom with jacuzzi, and a well stocked kitchenette area behind folding doors - plus chairs and private lawn furniture. Everything was quite lovely. We did not use the free bicycles but we were thrilled with the free bottled water - quite unusual these days. We were there for two nights, a lovely, romantic place to relax after days of touring and wine tasting. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed 1 night as we traveled through northern california staying at B&B's along the way. This was our favorite. The
Staff was very friendly and accomadating. The individual cottages were beautifully decorated and very comfortable, especially the beds. We loved all the extras, wine and cheese in the evening, bicycles, backpacks, robes, movie rentals and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

MY wife and I stayed at the Cottage Grove Inn on Thursday October 16 and found it to be one of the best inn experiences possible. The bedroom/living room was spacious, with comfortable seating in front of a nice fireplace, an honor bar that was reasonable (and free bottled water...where do you get that anymore!). The bathroom was huge and had a long marble top with two sinks and in a delightful alcove...a huge jacuzzi tub. There was a very pleasant front porch with rockers and, since these are cottages, a very nice sense of privacy. We have had the good fortune to stay in a large number of three and four star properties over the years and this modest unassuming place equaled some of the best. We were very surprised and pleased.

Room Tip: there are 3 or 4 with small garden areas that looked very pleasant

Everything was fantastic. We stayed for two nights after finding Cottage Grove Inn on Luxurylink.com. The entire stay was simply delightful. The cottages are so adorable, quiet, romantic, a welcome and peaceful retreat. The complementary breakfast and wine tastings (with cheese and other goodies) were both wonderful. The bikes available for traveling around town (and the maps of bike to winery tours) were also great.

I loved the place, inside and outside. We're already dreaming about our next vacation to Napa and the Cottage Grove Inn!

The cottages are newer, well furnished and decorated. The stand alone buildings make it great for privacy if that's what you want (wink-wink). The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in and king sized to boot. The staff, all the ladies, were polite and attentive. I was there with a wedding party and things could have not been any better. I ordered the couples massage and facials and the two ladies that performed the service couldn't be any better. It was a pleasure and I highly recommend this service to everyone. Everyone's attention to details was outstanding.

Now these cottages are right next to a road that every middle aged man (Geezers) and their $30K midlife-crisis motorcycles (that have to be extra loud for no reason but ego) travel setting off car alarms as they drive by. This was kind of annoying when your trying to relax with a massage. This is not the cottage's fault just an FYI. I will try another stay during a fall season when the old Geezers are off the road.

When I received my bill for the stay I was pleasantly surprised, this place is well worth the money and maybe more. If your planning a wedding, this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: Cottage #14 is all by itself in the back and #17 is a handicap accessible and right next to the offi...

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments, we're glad you enjoyed your stay with us and got to take advantage of the couples massage and facials.
An embarrased guest came in to the office to apologize after setting her alarm off for the second time during her stay. We have never known of motorcycles driving by and setting off alarms.
We look forward to your next stay with us in the Fall.

We spent two nights at Cottage Grove Inn and we loved it. We were there for a wedding in St. Helena. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The cottage was clean and cozy - stocked with very nice lotion & soaps. Great sound system in the room. The bed was comfortable, the pillows though were too soft & flat. That's the only negative I have on the whole weekend! The breakfast was great. Quiche, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, juice & coffee. They made fresh waffles & smoothies upon request also. Happy hour in the evening had wine & cheeses. I can't wait to go back!
