Sorelle is a down home place with wonderful recipes passed down from Francesca, the mother, who bought this for her 3 daughters who run the place. Sorelle means sisters. The fresh mussels are a great starter, feel free to ask them to mix with clams. The calamari is lightly breaded and delish. I go for the tomato basil soup whenever they have it. I recommend their short rib pasta, lasagna. Oh heck, everything is good! Just know it might be full after 5:30! They are well loved.

First the good:

1. The Bruschetta was quite good (8/10);

and then:

2. the cavatelli dish was very poorly done. (2/10) (if I wanted a bland dish with no flavor i would ahev cooekd at home..)
3. The Ravioli in cream-pesto was average (5/10)
4. The gnochi was a shade better (6/10)

The ambience is nothing to write home about and the service was average.. not welcoming but not brusque either.

I could have had similar quality in Olive garden for about 30% less price.

Will be warning my friends..

Compared to the other better know Italian restaurants in better locations, it isn't even close. Staring with the bad... it is in in the middle of a older rebuilt residential neighborhood in south Campbell. It is where San Tomas Aquino snakes around some old farmhouses and a water ditch... in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It isn't really on San Tomas Aquino... it is on Elam.

The place is too small, they have put in as many tables as they can squeeze in... our table was literally 6" from the tables on either side. I gave them five stars... but they are not really a five star restaurant... They are the best In Campbell.

Food is outstanding, staff is very attentive, hard working... they put out great effort. I just came back from going to six restaurants, including a four star Michelin rated place in the wine country this weekend, and this little place was far better. Their seafood and short ribs were excellent. They should move this restaurant to a larger and more conventional location on a major street and they would be one of the top restaurant in the entire San Jose area.

This is the BEST! They just won the Best Italian Sauce competition in San Jose. The food is delicious, especially the meat raviolis in a tomato cream and vodka sauce. The mussels are clean, as is the shrimp. I am going to try the scallops next because they looked so tender and juicy. The service is gracious and everyone is warm and welcoming. It's like coming home but not having to do the dishes.

Came here on a first-time visit with neighborhood friends' recommendations and weren't disappointed, but also not thrilled. We were quickly seated on a busy Friday evening, and drink and food orders were soon executed. Very reasonable prices, by the way. Very good appetizers, main courses, and desserts to die for. A good wine selection at great prices. If you like Italian-style bistros with crammed seating, lots of noise, TV screens displaying baseball games, and heavily tattooed fellow guests, this is for you.
