What a great place! The beach and facilities are excellent. My family and I enjoyed our visit and love this town. I stayed north of the state park and the beaches are cleaner there. The area near the outlet river are loaded with wood and debris from the floods after the fires here. It’s still worth coming. We’ve seen dolphins, crabs, and harbor seals. The area is beautiful.

Group space with friends, beach is beautiful, tide pools fun and great getaway. Santa Cruz was the area we were in thought there would be hookups, but amazing time nonetheless. Beware that generators cant be turned on until 10am so have a coffee option ready :)

Beach Campground rangers here are knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. The beach is also one of the nicest, most quaint and quiet locations for swimming in the ocean or just relaxing on the sand with a good book in hand. I first camped there with friends during a surf trip back in 2012. I was happy to revisit Carpinteria State Beach and to take in its natural beauty and wonder.

Beautiful unspoiled beach. Laid back, easygoing atmosphere, like California used to be in the 60s. Cute downtown too with some great restaurants
