I really like Shabu places, but my favorite type is the ones where you can pick the type of broth. It adds so much flavor to meals - this place is great.
Service was very good on a busy Saturday night. If you go as a couple it's easier to get seated quickly as there is a bar area, large parties have to wait.
We had the dry aged prime rib and wagyu with the pork bone and beef broth, both really good.
Depends how hungry you are, 10 oz is plenty when you consider all the veggies and extras. if you're not too hungry 6 oz will work. For hungry couples there is a couples deal that comes with 24 oz of meat.
What gives the meat the great taste is the broth and sauces.

I gave this restaurant a glowing review last November. I dined here again last evening and was impressed by how wonderfully consistent it continues to be in terms of the quality of food and service. It certainly deserves another big thumbs-up. I had my usual thick cut omega 3-rich high grade salmon with medium spicy miso broth and brown rice. My order came with a generous assortment of vegetables that included Napa cabbage, tofu, taro, broccoli, corn, Kabocha squash, carrot and Asian green. My companions ordered their own favorites (although the restaurant had sold out of wagyu beef, their first choice, this evening, they told me the premium Angus cut did not disappoint). I noted new additions (e.g. crab legs) to the menu which I will try out in the future. The three dipping sauces (sesame, Ponzu and satay) were excellent for enhancing the dining pleasure – my wife preferred the sesame sauce whereas I loved all three. I also accentuated the broth flavor by adding garlic and green onion from the condiment tray to it. It was truly an enjoyable and satisfying experience having ultimate control in preparing my own dinner in front of me. As I said before, I felt healthy eating a meal like this. I highly recommend this superb restaurant to anyone who loves Shabu Shabu for it far surpasses the ordinary offerings served at other places.

My family came here for dinner again last night. For us it was a no-brainer because of the good value: you get plenty of quality meat and fresh vegetables for around twenty bucks and you get to prepare the food to your own satisfaction. We had tried other shabu places including one on Osaka, Japan in April and concluded that Yuzu is still ichiban. They offer a wide selection of soup bases (fish broth, konbu, miso, dashi, etc.). My wife likes the Wagyu beef and I prefer the salmon (sashimi grade per menu). I always request the fish in larger cut to minimize breaking up in the boiling broth. The meal includes generous portions of vegetables napa, 2 types of mushrooms, taro, tofu, carrot, and some dark green vegetable (asian broccoli?), and noodles/udon which I general skip. The 3 dipping sauces: goma/sesame, satay and ponzu are equally flavorful. I always add garlic from the condiment tray to the broth for my salmon, making it a cholesterol guilt free meal complete with brown rice (and I get to take the leftover soup home). From our experience, we prefer to sit at the counter (you get your own cooktop). For that we found that the best time is around 6 pm. This will also cut down the time finding parking. The strip mall where this restaurant is located is always bustling with large crowd of people enjoying their night out at a variety of restaurants offering different cuisines. We typically visit the 85 Degree Bakery for coffee and dessert to top off a satisfying meal at Yuzu.

The staff were very attentive and if it's your first time visiting they explain everything how you can place your order. They speak fluent English as oppose to other Asian/Oriental restaurants you can't hardly understand, Food was excellent, order the lean rib eye with the pork bone- it's the best there is.
