Owner description: A mere two-mile drive from cosmopolitan, downtown San Diego, across one of the world's most distinctive bridges, is Coronado Island - a world away. Developed in 1888 as a beach resort town, and home to the famous Hotel del Coronado, the island is blessed with one of the finest beaches in the world and bathed in endless sunshine. Coronado today is a vibrant beach community loaded with charm.

It’s definitely worth a stop if you are in San Diego. The beach was great. Very relaxing atmosphere. A lot of little shops for Knick knacks.

A nice walk on the beach. There's easy parking close to the base on the North Side. And then a nice walk with tweens and family all the way to Hotel Coronado. (yes, there's a Starbuck's). Don't miss hanging out downtown Coronado and walk the shops and boutiques. Nice, quaint, we wanna move there!

There is the silver strand highway that connects Coronado to Imperial Beach. That small strip of land has no breaks in it therefor Coronado is not an island. It is nice however and there are a lot of things to see. I think that the beach in Coronado is one of the best in all of California!
