This place has French food at less than usual French restaurant prices. Boullabaise and Cassoulet are not among the offerings, but they have truckloads of various croissants, onion soup, pates, and my favorite, the Croque Monseuir sandwich. There is a bakery attached to the restaurant. This place is great for travelers to get dinner, and then bring some midnight snacks back to the hotel. Bon Appetit!

Had lunch there and ordered the assiette de fromage and pate. The portions were so small it was hard for the food to cover the plate without looking lost. Less than a desert spoon size amount of Brie and blue cheese. Very sad appearance with a tiny amount of bread to enjoy with it.
Sandwiches were similar- small with little content. Definitely not worth the wait in line for a table.

Went to this restaurant in the South Coast Plaza Mall for lunch. Very busy place. It took a while to place my order and receive it, but the food was very good. I had the tuna salad on a baguette. I also had their choclate mousse for dessert, which was excellent.

Southcoast Plaza Mall has everything: including this gem of a restaurant: Vie de France. It doesn't have sky high prices, and the menu selections are varied and tasty enough for almost any diner. We had the best server: Omar A. He was quick, attentive, and fun to talk with. We never had to flag him down for water or more bread. He served us like he was on fire, but he did it without us feeling rushed or neglected. I had the Smoked Salmon on bagel with Pom Frites special. Very delicious. My husband had a burger that was cooked exactly as he requested. Well worth standing in line to get a table!

This is a great restaurant with french/american food. All their menu is very good. The restaurant is very popular and the wait can be very long. The place has a bakery with excellent cakes and treats.
