I stayed here for a night. It was booked as it seemed decent and it was right next to where we were working. It's an impressive building, and architecture, and obviously is known for a lot of history, but really it was pretty horrid in the room. Small, dark, slightly damp, noises over the road and a really weirdly laid out room. I slept ok and I could just have a shower in a not very nice bathroom, it did its job but really wasn't that great.

I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. We are truly a unique, boutique hotel, built in 1920 and upgraded beautifully in the last few years. I understand how the layout might have not worked, but am sure that there is no dampness in our property. We are determined to provide the best possible experience for all our guests and will reach out to you so as we can make this right.

Stayed for one night with a girlfriend of mine for a business trip. There were a few hiccups during our stay (lost reservation, paint can, rags in room) but the staff here are fantastic. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. Just wanted to give a few shout outs to the wonderful staff here: Gabby, Alex, and Ruben! They helped make our stay memorable and amazing! David, manager, took the time to make sure we were happy with our stay as we checked out. Be sure to enjoy the complimentary continental breakfast. Fresh pastries and excellent coffee!

I love this hotel! Not for the rooms -- never stayed there -- but for the ambience and the delicious cocktails and lively cocktail hour. It's a pleasure to sit either indoors or on the patio, nibble their delicious bites, and enjoy a uniquely Culver Hotel cocktail either before dinner or perhaps before hopping across the street to the Arclight for a film. The experience is just so utterly L.A. at its best (funny, that "L.A. at its best" is in Culver City!)

Room Tip: I would imagine it would be hard to find a really quiet room!

And you should come for a little STAYCASION.
Culver City, and specifically the DOWNTOWN, is truly a destination in West LA. Very pleased you have discovered us.

If this hotel could talk, there would be some magnificent tales to tell! Loved the room! We had a queen at the end of the building in what I called the "flat iron"! (Reminded me of the wall street building.) This room had 4 windows, not including the bathroom window.
So bright and airy! The aesthetics of the room took you back in time. From the chandelier to the old antique mirrored armoire. The white and clean bathroom a sort of modern meets 1920's feel. The a/c was a bit loud, but if you don't want to use it the windows give more than enough cool air.

The lobby had a great complimentary breakfast. Pastries, croissants, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal, various teas, coffees and juices. At night there were daily bands from 7-11. There is a tea during the afternoon, but I didn't take part in it. I am sure it was great!

The front desk people are so helpful and very cheerful.

Great location, close to restaurants and night life.

I'd stay here again! Loved it!

Those 7 series rooms are very special, right at the end of the "Flat-Iron" shape.
You really encapsulated our hotel and we look forward to your return.

The ambiance, aesthetics, and architecture of this fantastic hotel literally send you back in time. That in itself adds fun to the stay. The food is great and happy hour is always fun. The location is great for movies and eclectic restaurant choices in Culver City's "restaurant row".....very cool!

The staff at the Culver Hotel are friendly and accommodating. You have excitement on all levels and a comfortable, relaxing room environment for that great night's sleep.

Finish the stay off with a wonderful breakfast in the lobby downstairs. Quaint and quiet and beautiful!

A restful "mini vacation" over the weekend.

Room Tip: The Jr. Deluxe Suite with 350 sq. feet is well lit, clean and accomodating in space for belongings...

The City of Culver City just finished our Centenary Celebration on September 23rd, with a Masquerade Ball at the Hotel. So fitting to your heading.
Thank you for such kind words, especially about the wonderful staff here.

This place is exactly the place I'd throw a Roaring Twenties party. It's classy decor and rich history makes it the best place for those who value a personality in a hotel. The people here have the best etiquette and manners to make you feel like a VIP the moment you step on the sidewalk in front of the hotel until you nestle inside your room. Every morning they had fresh breakfast awaiting with the sweetest strawberries one could imagine. Every afternoon we returned our beds and rooms pleasantly tended and cleaned. Delightful elegant atmosphere. Fine, knowledgeable, helpful concierge. Friendly, polite valets. Would highly recommend.

We stopped by before Theatre at the Kirk Douglas for Happy Hour drinks and to soak in the ambience of this classic old hotel. Lovely large lobby bar and restaurant, with MGM film touches. Good drinks and very friendly wait staff.

Downtown has The Kirk Douglas, the Actors Gang and the Arclight accompanied by about 20 wonderful gastronomical options between the 3. All walkable. All safe (Culver City has its own Police Department) and all wonderful.
Come again
