Arrived on a Sunday for lunch at 11:30am. There are two lines, one for the cafe, one for the bakery only. We wanted to dine in, so went to the cafe side. Line moves quickly as they have several registers open.

They will get baked goods and bring it over to the register on the cafe side. We ordered the potato balls and meat pies. Also added a Cuban sandwich and tuna melt. Everything was delicious! The potato balls and meat pies made for great appetizers while we waited for the sandwiches. Best thing is, everything is so reasonably priced.

Tip for parking, go to the second level of their parking lot, at least on Sunday there was plenty of room.

Also, at least for Sunday, they have plenty of seats in the dining area. I went to the Glendale store on a weekday, and it was almost impossible to find a seat.

Definitely will be going back to this Porto's again.

A bakery like similar to this is yet to be created. I actually don't think is possible to even come close.

The guaba and cheese is my favorite, some of my co-workers love the potato balls, chorizo and eggs breakfast sandwich is delicious, plantine balls= rellenitos are also a must.

When ever in downtown Downey, this is a must stop for great food and sweets. Be prepared for long lines, but the staff funnels everyone through and quickly when needed. Variety is beyond words. All will find that special taste and /or flavor they want.

This is a bakery/cafe that offers the experience of an amusement park/roller coaster ride line! What a packed house of conversation, food, and pastries.

This was my first visit and it was a fabulous one at that. All of the items I tried were excellent. Let’s just say the place can be a little overwhelming with all if the menu items and the huge glass display of baked goodness, but that feeling passes as you bite into the delectable offerings.

I tried the Pan con Lechon (pork) sandwich. It was great along with some interesting banana chips. Also had a chicken empanada and a cheese guava pastry. Delicious but not for those watching their carbs. This place also serves iced coffee. What a wow, wow, wow experience!

Come with an appetite and get ready to stand in a line that goes fairly fast. If you’re looking for a sit down, quiet, and wait service establishment, then forget it! If you’re looking for a fun experience, believe me you will not be disappointed! Check it out!

We will be returning! We sere in a hurry running errands and stopped by PORTO'S because it was convenient. However, after eating there, we will return even if it is not convenient.

We had ham and cheese omelets on croissant. Excellent!!

We must have lucked out and entered just before it started getting really busy. We were there less than 45 minutes and the place got packed. Drove by later and lines were outside!

Very good and will write more next time we go.
Enjoy!
