My kids and I went to Canton Low for lunch. I had the kung pao chicken. It was delicious. Not many vegetables in it. Clearly their own recipe and not what you would see at Panda Express or most of the strip mall chinese places around town. My kids loved their chinese vegetables with shrimp. The hot and sour soup, wontons and spring rolls were also top notch. Be sure to ask for the hot mustard sauce.

Love the oriental cuisine at this restaurant. Have frequently been here for lunch and dinner. We take visitors from out of town also. The food is always good and reasonable.

Ordered three different dishes, but two of them were delivered exactly the same. Orange beef was terribly overcooked. Will not return.

We stumbled on the Canton Low Restaurant when we were turned away from our initial choice, due to a private party taking over the whole restaurant. The restaurant is right on Main street with free street side parking. The restaurant was fairly busy on a Saturday night but we were seated immediately. There is a great selection of options from appetizers, soup, entrees and desserts. The soup options are large enough to share as well as most of the appetizers. They bring a bowl of large Chow Mein Noodles as well as water (most CA restaurants now only serve water upon request due to the severe drought going on) to start you off. We like to order family style so we ordered a number of dishes to share. We opted for the Sweet and Sour Chicken (very crispy fried white meat chicken pieces with vegetables, pineapple and a sweet and sour sauce), Barbecued Pork with Pea Pods (Char Siu barbecued pork with Pea pods in a brown sauce with as much Char Siu as Pea Pods) and Chicken with Sizzling Rice (White meat chicken with vegetables in a white sauce over a bed of sizzling rice). All three dishes were very good and we would not hesitate to order any of them again. Most dishes are in the $8.00 - $15.00 range and everything is ala carte with the exception of the combination plates which are served Mon-Fri; 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm and the Lunch Specials served Mon-Fri 11:00 am - 2:30 pm. They do have family Dinners (two or more people) which include soup, appetizers and one entree per person selected from a specific list of of entrees and range from $13.00 - $16.00 per person. They also do a very brisk carry out business if you'd rather take it back home or to your hotel. The wait staff is attentive and efficient. I wish I lived in the area as there were many other dishes I would have loved to try. They finish off the meal with Fortune Cookies.

If you are in the area and looking for good Chinese food, Canton Low is a great option. I highly recommend it.

Canton Low is a "go to place" in El Segundo for lunch. The hot sour soup will clear your nose and and jump start your afternoon. My favorite is their Kung pau chicken. Service is alway quick and attentive to you (some times a little too attentive).
