They have very good Polynesian smoke ribs, love their duck egg rolls. Good pupu platter. Had to come back a second day for the pupu platter again.. coming back for the sliders. And it's pricey, but it's worth the money. you do get your money's worth.

Trader Vic's was originally in Oakland and that is where the original Mai Tai was created. That was many years ago. Now it has been moved up to Emeryville. The view is nice there...it is snuggled inside a condominum complex. We had lunch, since we have never been there. Lunch is a less pricey way of checking out a restaurant new to you. The original Mai Tai was great....not overly sweet....food average, service great

It's on the pricey end so you may want to reserve for a special occasion but it's more than worth it. Our oven seared sea bass and oven-fired whole chicken melted on our mouths and the wine list was excellent. There had been a mixup about our table while we had drinks in the bar and yet a manager made sure we were taken care of to enjoy the view and a memorable stay in Emeryville. We liked it so much we came back for a second time and the fact it was in walking distance from our hotel was an added benefit.

A friend took me to Happy Hour here for my birthday. Their bar area is light filled, has some cushioned seating and a view of the Golden Gate Bridge through the Emeryville Marina. Actually the view is 180 degrees as clouds rolled by. The staff was friendly and helpful, neither rushing or ignoring us. Drinks at Happy hour are limited, but there is wine and beer and all sorts of variation on the classic Mai Tai. Oh yes, the food....the apps are $6 and after sharing about four or five, we didn't need dinner. There were duck egg rolls, BBQ ribs, crab rangoon, and my fav - sweet potato fries with banana ketchup. A couple hours here and you forget Bay Area traffic, transported to a tranquil, friendly Tahitian atmosphere. A cute surprise arrived before the check....a bowl of coconut ice cream with a birthday candle.

Wow! Talk about accommodating. I had so much fun with my girlfriends for my birthday!!! We had a private room and the let us decorate however we wanted. So many YES's through the whole experience.
The service was great.
I had the prawns and jasmine rice. I usually don't add salt but this dish need a little bit more flavor. My guests all pretty much enjoyed their meals. The portions are a good size.
The drinks are super delicious!!
To top it off you can sit, enjoy your meal while over looking the bay.

Fun place for big groups.
