This was such an amazing find! We had taken a day trip from our RV Park in Olema to San Francisco, and on the way back were looking for a place for dinner. Fairfax, as we were passing through, seemed a good choice. We parked right on the main drag and looked, and fortunately decided on Fradelizio's, asw both like Italian food. Hit paydirt there, really the jackpot! The interior decor is not surprisingly Italy-themed, but not in any lurid way, but unpretentiously low key; however, the linen tablecloth and white linen napkin sort of dining without being pompous at all We were seated at the window, and the manager - owner ? - came to greet us personally as he did with all the arriving guests. Many seemed to be regulars. Our food arrived promptly and both my husband and I were absolutely thrilled with our dinner - tasty, superbly prepared dishes with fresh ingredients, deliciously cooked ... quality food with great flavor and cooked just right - decent portions and fair prices as well. I can recommend this restaurant most highly! Would definitely be my first choice if in the area again.

Last Friday night dinner here was quite nice, with a 20 minute wait at 7:30PM for a table on the first warm night of the Spring. The hostess checked us in immediately and kept us informed accurately that a table would be available shortly.

The restaurant building and space hssn’t changed over the years since I was first there over 25 years ago. Seating still appears to be for 60-70 persons with the tables close together and the noise level noticeable but not loud.

The menu has greatly expanded over the years, it’s quite comprehensive, looks so inviting – if you wanted something it probably was on the menu including gluten free dishes, and prices remain very reasonable.

We were happy with the red wine ordered, a glass of a vintage wine and a glass of their house red wine. Both entrees, a salmon entrée in a light cream sauce and the lemon “brick” chicken entrée, were fine, served with flavorful light sauces, and with small sides of spinach and potatoes on the dinner plate. I don’t use salt, and nothing served me was salty at all.

For how busy they were Friday night, once we were seated the service was prompt, attentive, and reliable. Most appreciated. In comparison, I’ve been in some other southern Marin Italian restaurants over the years and been served by waiters who were “high.”

We didn’t order any pasta dishes. Their prices were very reasonable. Perhaps, another evening.

The only disappointment was the Caesar salad dressing. It was more like a plain oil dressing than a Caesar dressing. Though, as this was the only issue, I can accept it. Especially, when our water and the warm bread and butter were refilled without our asking. That’s service.

Parking quickly can be found within 75-150 yards which is convenient.

Overall, Fradelizio’s kitchen does a commendable job without delay, the service is good without being overbearing or overzealous which some Italian restaurants are telling you every dish is wonderful, and the menu is priced right for Fairfax.

Our male waiter was cool, not pushing us to buy more wine, dessert, or a cappuccino or coffee. Just responding to us which was appreciated.

The restaurant isn’t trying to be something it isn’t. It appears to be doing it right as it has a very good following. You feel like you’re in a family restaurant, and you are.

This is not your typical Italian restaurant. this is family place, where they even have pictures of long time locals on the walls. We always eat here when we are in town and find the food to be delicious, fresh and affordable. Just about everything on the menu is local and in summer the majority of the vegetables come from local farmers too. If your like wine you have to try the house blend, its from Napa and better than any house blend you've samples. Two thumbs up for Frads!

When I want to celebrate something or just have a nice dinner Fradelizio's is the place I go. The chicken picatta is delicious and so is the hanger steak and they always have a tempting special. Their prices are reasonable and the service is excellent.
