We recently dined at Bacchus House with large party, most of us for the first time. The food was very tasty, although some of the entree portions were small. We both had the filet mignon special which was excellent but pricey ($38). Our friends ordered the salmon pasta which looked great--and the portion of both the salmon and the pasta were generous. The desserts we had were delicious--triple chocolate gelato and apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream. Prior to going we checked the website and noted the $15 corkage fee. A few others in our group of 19 (at two tables) also brought wine, which apparently got us past the 3 bottle max (per table, per person, per party?--not sure). Anyway, without a warning we all got billed $20 for corkage to "level it all out". With a pricey meal to begin with, several of whom ordered salad and dessert, and a group of generous tippers, that decision left a bad taste in my mouth.
