Hotel prices in the Santa Barbara area are out of sight so finding this hotel at a reasonable price was much appreciated. It's next to the freeway; however, we didn't hear any freeway noise (people in the back area might feel differently). It has a laundry, vending machines and a nice-looking pool. The rooms were very clean and, while not 'spacious' were adequate for a short stay (the bathroom was generous). Room cleaning was not every day but that was fine with us. Parking is adequate. It's close to grocery shopping, pharmacies, restaurants of various types (e.g., yogurt, fast-food, breakfast/lunch sit-down, acai bowls, etc.) and there was even a multi-screen theater around the corner.
