Peaceful gorgeous luxury hotel.

Absolutely wonderful! I took my son who turned 21 - we took a mini-trip to celebrate. The hotel brought him a bottle of champagne, and left it in the room with the kindest note ever. This hotel is gorgeous - nothing is overlooked. It is expensive but worth it for the right occasion.

We’ve been put into a cellar room ( despite being a 1000K night—— called balcony) and dealing with a very
mere room again in a beautiful tired place.
We had a marginal dinner……salty steaks , bad , bad, boring wedge salad, meaningless truffle chips…..a most adorable, kind, sweet
bartender in the Angel Oak…..actually, all staff has been lovely and well tipped…..but the food is ghastly , even the drinks delivered to room for
22 bucks a pop plus mandatory tip, didn’t even use fresh ingredients…..how hard is fresh grapefruit juice?
It is quiet…..but sub earth here has to be….not a wave or ocean sound available.
Duly noted…..not to be visited again.

Room tip: Wait until this place is bought and renovated …….its a Marriott (think airport Marriott/Sheraton)

Unfortunately, this gorgeous hotel didn't hold up to the standards that the Ritz Carlton offers.

We planned a romantic trip to SB and booked a suite with a FULL ocean view. When we arrived we were told our room wasn't available so they put us in a dark, dungeon of a room with the only view being the walk path down to the pool. It was loud and not romantic at all. The next night they put us in a partial ocean view room where we had to go stand on the edge of the patio to see water. Otherwise, it was a view of the hillside. Also, having to change rooms when you are only planning one full day somewhere was super inconvenient.

We probably wouldn't have gone had we known the room we booked wasn't available. Any other RC or Four Seasons would have upgraded us rather than downgrading us. They did comp our first night but honestly, it was such a tiny crappy room it didn't help.

We also went and had a couples massage in the spa, we booked a 50-minute massage and ended up with a little less than 30 minutes. Again, not very RC like at all.

We ate at Angel Oak the first night, food was good. Service was good although the restaurant was nearly empty and it took them 20 minutes to seat us (we even had a reservation.

All and all we won't be back.

Let's start with... this is a beautiful spot. Outstandingly maintained grounds. It's huge. Buildings everywhere as are the ups and downs to traverse the resort. Secondly, we're not really Ritz travellers. While we stay at very nice places, this Ritz was a treat.

What we were most impressed with was the staff. Outstanding and they are everywhere!!! Whether walking around or dining, there was always someone to ask how everything was. Impressive.

We stayed just one night. A break from the long drive from El Dorado Hills to Oceanside. A nice place to relax, have a cocktail, enjoy some nice food and a killer bed to sleep on.

Our dog, Sian, (Shaun) was welcomed with her own bag of goodness and she was welcomed at the outdoor seating at the eateries we chose. We're not sure how much she loved the golf cart ride but she's had a rough life before we rescued her so she's experiencing new things all the time and adjusting to her new life!

The room we stayed in for the night was a King room. Nothing upgraded. Just a regular room. It was very nice for the $$$$. A fireplace. Nice, small balcony and a very nice bath area.

Room tip: A beautiful location. Amazingly well kept grounds. Fantastic staff!

This ritz is beyond my expectation overall. Front desk Bonny and Benjamin helped me checking in and they knows details of this hotels very well. The hotel is very beautiful and you can have trail to the beach and access to bike. The pool is really comfortable with nice view.

A lovely Ritz Carlton in Santa Barbara. This property overlooks the Pacific Ocean with walkways to the beach. As you drive up the porters are spot on to assist. The parking area is full of beautiful lovely luxury vehicles. They have plenty of charging stations. At the driveway area there is a wine tasting room which is always fun to try. Once you check in our room this time was 17208. It was a suite with two separate restrooms a living room area w/fireplace and HD TV the bedroom was a king wHD TV. The bed was amazing and an allowed for a great sleep. It had a dual balcony overlooking the pools with ocean view. There plenty great bars and restaurants. I enjoyed the spa services.
