When we knew we were going to be in the wine country for a weekend in February, I immediately got on Tripadvisor to find a place to stay. After much research, we decided on the Honor Mansion. Thank you everyone who has written a review of this place! Now I get to add my praise. Our stay was fantastic! The owners were out of town, but the young women who manage the inn were absolutely wonderful. We called to say we would be arriving a few hours before check-in and were invited to come ahead and get registered. Amanda gave us a tour of the beautiful property and told us she would call us on our cell as soon as our room was ready if we wanted to go into Healdsberg for lunch. We stayed in the Camellia room, which was just lovely. The whole time we were there we felt like welcome guests in a friend's beautiful home. The three women who share the concierge job are exceptional. They will do their very best to make sure you stay is perfect! All are knowledgeable about the area and wines, and will be more than happy to make dinner reservations for you! The breakfasts are amazing. We were so impressed that we bought their cookbook! As a matter of fact, breakfast held us until we had a late lunch at the Bear Republic and Willi's (both great) and the inn's generous appetizers from 5 to 6, were just enough for our dinner!!! The weekend in the wine country was part of a trip celebrating my 65th birthday. When I made the reservation I was asked if we were celebrating anything special, so I told them about my birthday. In our room was a delicious chocolate cake, a bottle of Chardonnay, and card with good wishes for my birthday! Oh, and when Amanda took us up to our room, a CD player in our room was playing romantic music. I hadn't really been looking forward to turning 65, but the ladies at Honor Mansion helped make it pretty painless!!

We went to Honor Mansion to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We expected a nice B&B with some amenities. What we got was the true definition of service. The entire staff catered to our every whim. At times they even helped us think of new whims we had not even envisioned. The Garden Suite was amazing as was the breakfast and wine in the evening. We went to Dry Creek Kitchen for our anniversary dinner (amazing dinner) and Steve & Cathy had arranged for a small opener of a lemon flavored sparkling wine. We normally don't drink sparkling wine but this was a great start to an amazing meal. The staff at Honor had recommended this restaurant to us and it exceeded expectations. Also learned that Steve had the same desires for wines/wineries as we did and everyone he recommended for us panned out nicely. Next time we will just get with him on our agenda. Again amazing and we will be staying with them again and again.

Room Tip: Talk to the staff on what you are wanting and they will make great recommendations.

Our experience was wonderful. The owners and staff made us feel welcome and even upgraded us to the Wisteria Suite. Although we only stayed for one evening, we wish we could have extended our trip for another night, just to pamper ourselves at the Honor Mansion!

This was our first time in Healdsburg and our first stay at a B&B! It was a true delight. My husband and I went on a weekend getaway for my 40th birthday, we had no agenda or reservations. We found the Honor online and my husband called, the young lady was so sweet and informed us that they had a drop in rate. She said come take a peek and see if it is something you would like. I will say my husband was a bit weary of the B&B experience, so he was so pleasantly surprised when we walked in. We ended up staying in the Squires Cottage! We loved our entire experience. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was wonderful, the delivery of the coffee basket was wonderful, they took care of all our needs. I cannot say enough about it! I cannot wait to go back. If you are looking for a great B&B, or are a first timer, try the Honor...they will not disappoint! You'll be begging for more!
Thanks to all the staff for our weekend!

My college daughter and I returned for a second time to Honor Mansion for a quick mother/daughter retreat. It was exactly what we wanted - restful, fun, pampering. Healdsburg offers a lot in a small space - spa, shopping, dining, historic buildings. We had a great hike in the Armstrong Redwood State Reserve and ate the best ravioli of our lives at Catelli's. The staff at Honor Mansion was helpful in making suggestions and sending a constant stream of little treats our way. Looks like we have started a tradition while our men go skiing - ladies head to Honor Mansion!

Room Tip: Tower Suite was a lot of fun - although the steps are steep: be careful!

My husband and I are very impressed by the Honor Mansion. From booking till today when we returned, everyone at the Honor Mansion has been nothing but top notch. All the companies for tours they recommended and we used were outstanding and the restaurants were wonderful as well. Breakfast at the Mansion was great and the grounds have so much to offer not to mention how adorable the rooms are. We stayed in Vineyard Suite 1 (looked just like the pictures, if not better in person due to the ambiance) and our friends next to us in Vineyard Suite 2. Both rooms had everything you needed down to the little things almost all places do not think of, like a dark towel to wash makeup off with. We just loved it, all had a blast and will be back!! The appetizers and wine were a great extra treat as well!

I cannot speak highly enough about this place. My girlfriend and I (early/mid-20s) had an amazing time. After receiving a tip from a colleague to stay at hotel healdsburg, I went on TripAdvisor and after looking at a number of options, chose Honor Mansion based on how strong the reviews were, and also because of the TripAdvisor discount featured on this site (we were staying on a Wednesday and Thursday, not valid for the weekend)

We were budget conscious, so we chose one of the more affordable options in the main inn (Dogwood).

As soon as we arrived, we were told of a complimentary upgrade to the Pool Suite!!! FANTASTIC! While we would have had a great time in the Dogwood room, the Pool Suite was just awesome--the extra room with two recliners, and the outdoor tub, it was just a real surprise and made us feel incredibly comfortable.

The staff was super helpful and very knowledgeable about the different wineries we could visit. The cookies in the lobby, the chocolate cake they provided for my birthday, the complimentary wine and welcome sign they provided on our arrival (in both the Dogwood room and the Pool Suite--since we had a choice of whether or not we wanted the upgrade) were all fantastic extras. Also loved the automatic fireplace.

The breakfast, as other reviews have mentioned, was fantastic. Given that we came during the week off-season, they were able to bring us breakfast to our room rather than provide it in the dining room, and this was another "upgrade" that was much appreciated. The breakfast was quite delicious, particularly the granola with fruits. There was a big issue with one of the dishes they provided--the pineapple french toast--it was very poorly made, but given the high quality of everything else, we saw this as an anomaly and it was easy to forgive this.

We also took advantage of their DVD collection, which had a lot of great DVDs. Other than that, we used some of the complimentary free wine tastings we got to visit a number of wine tasting booths in downtown. For dinner one of the nights, we found a binder of information on all the restaurants in the area very useful in making our decision on where to get food from.

This is a hidden gem and won me a ton of brownie points with my girlfriend for finding this place. Thank you Honor Mansion, and thank you TripAdvisor!

Room Tip: SPLURGE FOR A SUITE! Pool suite was fantastic. Bonus here is the outdoor hot tub.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review for the Honor Mansion. Please thank your colleague for us for recommending Healdsburg. We are happy that you found us and that you enjoyed your stay with us. I truly apologize for the “Pineapple French toast”. I can’t imagine what happened as we truly do get many compliments on it every time we serve it. It has been on our menu for almost 2 years and you are the first to mention not liking it. I will personally make sure that it is tested the next time we serve it for quality control. I’m just thankful that it didn’t hinder your stay in any way but I do understand you being disappointed.

As you mentioned, sometimes in the slower season we are able to offer upgrades and we are pleased that you enjoyed the Pool Suite.

Again, thank you for your review and for mentioning the French toast so that we can fix the issue or at least improve it.

We will look forward to your return!

Warm regards,
Steve, Cathi & Staff
