The property is beautiful, the wine was good, and the host/pourer was engaging.

However, disappointment came when we tried to take advantage of the Visa Signature 2 for 1 tasting. He took away the regular menus and brought us "special" menus, which were shorter, with no options, and focused on varietals we did not like. When we showed some hesitation, he said, "Don't worry about it," and brought back the normal menus. He poured me short pours as the driver (as if we were sharing), with a subset selection of the regular menu. All of which we were fine with, until he charged us full price for two tastings.

If you're going to participate in the promotion, only offering a reduced tasting for the same fee is a bit of a bait and switch. Then, in a culture where most tasting rooms give "free" extras to make you feel special and engender loyalty, don't give us more than we ordered and then charge us for the extra. It's going to make me less likely to pick your label the next time I'm at the liquor store, and certainly not going to get me to sign up for your club.

Thank you for your review Tyler, and I apologize the Visa Signature 2 for 1 tasting was a disappointment. We clearly need to do more training in our tasting room about how to correctly do a Visa Signature tasting. I hope you give us another chance, and thank you again for the review.

We recently visited Healdsburg and took a day long bicycle tour (about 25 miles). We visited three vineyards in Sonoma along the way. We stopped at Dry Creek Vineyard for a wine tasting (I joined the wine club) and then had a wonderful lunch on property. Lunch was delicious and was included in our bike tour. We hope to do another ride through the area in the future. It was a fabulous time!

Before our wine tasting getaway we researched good full-bodied reds - we found them at Dry Creek. In addition, the people pouring the tastings were warm and friendly with good recommendations of where to eat. The grounds, with picnic tables, are beautiful.

This was our second visit to Dry Creek Vineyards. The first was 3 years ago. Our experience the first time was so good, we made it a priority to visit again. During the past 3 years, although we are no longer wine club members of Dry Creek, we still get calls when they are having special deals, or special wines like their last anniversary release. We packed a couple sandwiches, ate lunch and relaxed in their beautiful lawn area set up with several picnic tables. The staff is always pleasant as well as very knowledgeable about their wines. We purchased the Old Vine Zin as well as the Meritage and Mariner, which, in our opinions are the best reds in the area. You must go by and visit.

We're so glad you made it out for your 2nd trip! And we're thrilled that our Meritage & Mariner Bordeaux blends are your favorite reds in the area.
