“Wine country stay”
Reviewed 25 April 2012

The inn has new and older buildings, we stayed in the Tuscan section. This part of the inn is older and could do with a little cash infusion. The inner courtyard was unfortunately broken into two sections by a garishly large business center, which destroyed the view.
The room was nice, good bed, fireplace and the usual amenities .
Continental breakfast was good. Hot tub was broken.

It was amazing. We have never had such a wonderful, restful experience. We thank you for making our trip so enjoyable. We were able to visit many of your area tourists attractions from this central location and especially enjoyed our trip to The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas. This is a great location and a beautiful accommodation. We felt as if we were enclosed in Tuscany when we were in our room with the sliding glass door onto the balcony with our own private dining area. I loved the central courtyard which was so peaceful especially at night. The breakfast was very good and the hostess was johnny on the spot to accommodate the many breakfast guests. The maintenance people were right there to help us with our Garden Tub when we needed some instructions. Thank you Thank you for a glorious week in Northern CA.

Room Tip: We loved the Tuscany Building Atmosphere

We stayed 2 nights in the new addition so expected the air conditioning to work. We were in the area as part of a wedding party for our son's wedding and had guests staying at this facility, we only hope that their stay was better than ours. The first night we called the front desk and asked that someone come look at the air conditioning unit as we were only getting warm air and it was actually cooler outside. The front desk person first had me look in all the drawers in the room for directions to the unit before finally reading them to me himself. When that didn't work he came to our room and pointed the controls for the a/c unit at the tv speakers, when I pointed out the a/c unit to him he then messed around with the controls for a while before deciding that he couldn't do anything with it. We went to the front desk the next day to complain, they said that it would be fixed before we got back to our room. When we got back that afternoon if was working great! We left for the wedding, got back around 12:30 pm and the warm air was blowing again - so frustrating!! Mind you the weather was in the 90's all weekend - great for the wedding, not so good with no a/c.

On another note: When we first got to our room the screen for the balcony was broke and we couldn't get it to open, we had to have someone come fix it. They also don't provide enough towels for 2 people to shower each day, which was ridiculous.

When we checked out we asked to speak with the manager on duty - it was a 20 minute wait but he finally came out to see us. We explained our problem with the a/c all weekend and how we had kept calling and coming down - he just looked at us and then checked the computer. We literally repeated our story 3-4 times, he finally comped us 1 nights stay and said that he would have an a/c company come look at it. I mean really, if we hadn't said anything at all the entire weekend I wouldn't have expected anything - but to have repeatedly asked to have it fixed I don't think it was to much to ask to have a discount on our stay.

We had an upstairs room with a view of the beautiful piazza which has water features as well as a large fireplace and lots of different seating areas. There is also a sauna, steam room and hot tub located in the piazza. The lovely swimming pool is next to the building out by the parking lot. Our room was stunning - nice size and very tastefully decorated. Loved the shutters separating the large jetted tub from the bedroom and that you can listen to music (or TV) anywhere with the surround sound speakers. My husband liked that there was a separate shower. There is an in-room refrigerator which we did not notice right away because it is hidden in the dresser cabinet. The table and chairs on the balcony was a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and some cheese and French bread.
They also have an excellent breakfast served in a very large pleasant room with lots of different items to choose from. Much more than your standard continental breakfast.
We booked through TravelZoo and got a really good deal - we will come again even if we have to pay full price!

Room Tip: Even though our room was close to the street (but away from the freeway) the rooms are so well insul...

The hotel looks nice. The room is average, but the breakfast is good. Downtown Healdsburg is 10-15 minutes walk. There's a supermarket on the corner right up the street, so I can buy some snack. There's a fireplace outside the tuscany piazza at night, I sit there, have few bottle of beer and I feel good.
