“A touch of Luxury”
Reviewed March 26, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We have just enjoyed a two month luxury break at Glen cottage whilst in-between property moves and could not rate the accommodation highly enough. Every little detail has been thought through to ensure you feel totally spoilt and having stayed in many hotels of a high standard I feel Mike and Jackie have nailed this. The freestanding Bath in the bedroom became my favourite relaxation spot after a hard day. The Walking in the area is excellent and the local pub became a firm favourite with great home cooked food and a good selection of Wine and Beer.

A little gem in the english countryside, We will be retuning sometime soon.

“Still beautiful”
Reviewed March 17, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

This is our second stay at this cottage and once again we had a relaxing break in a beautiful cottage. We had dinner at The Castle Inn which was delicious with excellent service. Will definitely be back when we get the chance....

“Shockingly Fabulous!”
Reviewed January 18, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Really beautiful place...cut off from the hustle and bustle of life. Very relaxing. Words may not be able to capture the beauty of this cottage. The additional perks Mike included in the cottage all add up to the coziness...truly a home away from home. As it is, we are looking for anything...just anything...that will make us have to return.
Thanks Mike ...only if others could be like you...

“LOVELY COMFORTABLE COTTAGE”
Reviewed November 4, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Stayed here at Glen Cottage for one week during half-term holidays, cottage an eclectic mix of old and modern style. Really comfy cottage, the weather was extremely warm for the time of year, so we had to turn the heating off as we were so hot! This will be welcome in the cold of winter! Owner Mike couldn't of been more helpful and was often on hand for a chat! The picture postcard village of Castle Bytham is lovely, complete with duck pond and two pubs and very handy for the A1 and Stamford/Rutland water.

Only downside was no proper oven. Had a combined Microwave and Oven which worked very well in heating food. Great bath and you could watch TV whilst having a soak.

“...so relaxing”
Reviewed August 26, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Another lovely, relaxing week spent at this gorgeous little cottage. The weather didn't really play ball this time but we were warm inside and enjoyed the fleeting moments on the little terrace communing with visiting ducks from the nearby pond. The village is one of the friendliest places we have encountered and considering we come from rural Northumberland that is a complement indeed! Thanks so much to Mike and Jackie for their hospitality…we’ll be back!
