Probably eat at Giardins once every couple of months - it's our 'go to' local restaurant when we run out of ideas or are too lazy to search for something new to try!! It's hidden off the main drag in a little courtyard - quiet. In the summer they have table/chairs out on the patio - lovely setting. Inside nicely decorated and cozy. Greeted and served by the owners (sorry can't remember their names), last night it was hugs, like old friends! Complimentary to the table is toasted garlic bread with a homemade olive dip or sorts - quite tasty! Partner orderd the pasta with clams etc and me, instead of veal scallopini (sp) they adjust to chicken with white wine etc! Portions are plenty - wine is most definitely plenty - glasses always filled! Reasonably priced. I like to see a family owned business succeed and this couple most certainly are trying. Oh, not a couple as in husband/wife think they are family related just not in the marital sense!!

Sourdough bread with good tapenade started the meal. The lemon chicken scallopini was great, as were the crab raviolis. Nice assortment of veggies, but no seasoning I could discern. A rigatoni with sauce accompanied the main course, and was nothing special. Something wrong with the lighting, and half of the lights were off most of the time. Service good. The floor badly needed vacuuming, and that put me off from the beginning. There are so many Italian restaurants around, that we'll try some others.

The pastas here are listed as organic and housemade. The dishes we tried were both perfectly prepared and loaded with seafood. Best of all, unlike so many other restaurants, the food was properly salted so you didn't wake up feeling bloated from fluid retention. The courtyard looks inviting but was closed for the season. Inside, there are only about 12 tables and the atmosphere is extremely charming and intimate. There are many Italian restaurants to choose from in our area, but this is one we will definitely return to.

My wife and I have dined at Giadino's for years now. It is a very quaint restaurant with incredible food, which is extremely affordable. If you want to have an authentic Italian Dinner with a great atmosphere, Giardino's is the place
