Last night I went to another place for dinner and had the same seating experience.

Outside chairs are for small people for sure. If you have anything above a 30 inch waist .. you will have 2 support bars running across the back of your hips/legs. It is very uncomfortable .. and that is enough to ruin any meal since being seated the whole time is part of eating :( Ohh and that is outdoor. Indoor is better but poor design to put too many tables in a room that small, really makes it cramped at a table. The center support bars are very large compared to the more modern day tables.

Also, the food was burnt ... veggies, turkey bacon, toast, not much was missed. A cook should know better than even putting that on the place. Nobody orders blackened omelet.

Yesterday visit was a real let down. This will certainly change how often I visit here :(

We visit our grandkids in Laguna Beach often and Ruby's is the spot they insist on eating at. Great food and you can't pass up those wonderful milkshakes. Restaurant is always clean and the staff always has a friendly smile.

About the best burger I ever ate!! Friendly staff in classic diner uniform. The shakes looked fabulous but I was so full I didn't get to try one!!

We visited whilst on holiday from England with some Californian friends. We had tried a nearby restaurant but the wait for a table was a ridiculous 90 minutes so we walked over to Ruby's.What an excellent decision. The Food was really tasty and well presented and the portions enormous.
The best part of all was our waiter.I think his name was Nick.He had us all in stitches and without doubt has a future in entertainment ahead of him.He was absolutely brilliant as his job and so amusing. We will certainly return.....and hopefully he is working.
Thank you Nick.

The new restaurant still has the airplane motive. It is truly a diner including the counter for guests as well as waitresses dressed in 50's style uniforms. It has a nice vibe!

The shakes are individually made with wonderful options with my favorite Chocolate Banana. The Beach Burger is my favorite!
