Terrific lunch blah blah, fun patio blah blah, highly recommended blah blah great crackers and cookies blah blah ... AND THEN ... we bought several terrific looking/smelling CHOCLATE ALMOND CROISSANTS to take home ... and then ... Don't Ask How/Why ... they got home safely but/and promptly got LOST in the back of the #2 fridge ... from June 30 until August 12 !!! - 43 days! They looked great, no spoilage, obviously a little brittle but 25 seconds in the microwave and they softened up - as to taste, yes, they are a little more chewy than they would be if fresh BUT OH THAT TASTE !!! Terrific. Better than 90% of the Choc/Almond croissants that are out there When Fresh. Proving Essex's theory of 'good donuts' - which extends to other baked goods: if it's TOPS the day it is fresh, it will be great days later. Never knew it could go 43, today in fact finished 2nd-to-last nibble of 1st leftover Rustic Bakery which is day #47 - hard to believe - just as good as on day 43! Got one other, that will take 4-5 days, so Rustic's product will be sampled as far as 52 days out from the oven. If this isn't an amazing proven yummy demonstration of Rustic Bakery's QUALITY, Essex doesn't know what else there could be. Recommendation : GO GO GO and enjoy, Enjoy, ENJOY! You won't be disappointed.

Did breakfast here a couple of times during our last two weeks in Marin. Greta choices of pastries, sandwiches and much more. Fresh juices, wasn't a fan of the coffee but otherwise all good at pretty high prices but good quality. Seating outside and lots to see and do.

Big city prices definitely. I’ve purchased Rustic Bakery baked pastries and cookies many times in their stores and flatbreads in the local grocery stores. Always very reliable and good quality. The product line includes sweets and items I’d consider snacks. But expensive.
It’s a local company, and I always buy local rather than supporting brands owned by food conglomerates located far, far away. So, Rustic Bakery gets my business, especially their flatbread and pecan shortbread cookies that seem to be made with little salt.
The overall rating is a 3 because of the prices. Otherwise, the quality ranking is higher.
