Los Angeles Airport Marriott

Nicer than the average Marriott I've stayed in. Rooms were pleasant and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The only problem I had is that the shuttles to the airport were extremely crowded, disorganized and the staff seemed overwhelmed however I realize it was probably the peak of the morning rush to the airport.

Used for layover on international connection. Close to airport, convenient shuttle. We arrived before 10am and were given immediate checkin, very happy about that. Room was clean and quiet, everything worked as it should. Ate twice in the casual restaurant on the main floor, good breakfast & dinner. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly.

Stayed at the LAX Marriott two nights before our cruise and one night post-cruise. All arrangements were made through Princess Cruises. When checking-in we were given a Princess handout with details for the boarding day and our baggage handling.

The personnel at the Marriott were superb. All smiling and always helpful. They made our stay a wonderful experience. The rooms are OK but that depends if you are in the older section of the hotel on in the newer tower. We had a room in each, the older section on arrival and the tower on our return post-cruise. The beds are famously comfortable and all amenities are present. The bathtub is rather slippery to take a shower in as there is no rubber mat.

There is also a Starbucks in the hotel lobby.

There was a hotel tour representative on hand thus we booked a city tour for our free day in Los Angeles. Booking was with VIP Tours and we were entirely satisfied with the results.
We used the Latitude 33 restaurant in the hotel which we found very good if somewhat overpriced. The filet mignon is excellent. They also have an extensive breakfast buffet. For the budget conscious people there is a Denny’s restaurant a few blocks away. Coming out of the front door, turn left on Century Boulevard and walk a few blocks to the Travelodge Hotel. Denny’s is on their premises.

Room Tip: Rooms in the Tower appear to be more recent

Great stay at the LAX Marriott.

Rooms seemed to have been recently refurbished and were very comfortable. I enjoyed the ergonomic desk chair and good work space lighting. Good sound proofing as well.

Complimentary airport shuttle was efficient and got me from the hotel's porte cochere to the airport in less than 10 minutes.

Check-in staff were extremely friendly and helpful too.

Will definitely stay again next time I have an early flight out of LAX.

We stayed here as the cruise line uses this hotel prior to boarding the ship. Overall the stay was good. The hotel was clean but did not offer free Wifi and once you were on the system was so slow that it was impossible to get service. It is a nice area to stay in as you can walk safely to other restaurants or do some general sight seeing. Maybe not a 4 out of 5 but definitely a 3.5. The beds were a little uncomfortable.

We spent the night at the LAX Marriott as a stop-over enroute to New Zealand. I have Gold Status at Marriott so we were staying for free using points.
We arrived in LA at 10pm and walked outside to catch the free shuttle to the airport. The airport shuttle area is very busy and we waited a good 1/2 hour for our shuttle to arrive. Once we got to the hotel, the check in was quick. Our room was standard Marriott - - very comfortable and clean.
I worked out in the gym in the morning. It was busy! Every one of about 10 treadmills was taken, but I only had to wait a few minutes before one became available. There was water, fruit and fresh towels provided.
We are breakfast in the onsite restaurant using free vouchers (Gold status). The buffet was excellent. Lots of choices from made to order eggs to fruit. I think I heard someone say it was $21 a person if you were paying. Way too expensive for my book.
The hotel has a Starbucks, a gift shop and a sports type bar/restaurant. It has a nice pool area as well.
I would stay here again. Note that it is very far from any attractions- - a $36-$50 cab ride to the J Paul Getty Museum for example.

Stayed at Marriott LAX President's Day weekend, first trip to LA. Hotel shuttle was very convenient, staff was very helpful and friendly. Was happy to find trolley stop to Manhattan Beach in front of hotel, ran on time and was only $5 round trip. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Was also glad to find Carl Jr's and Denny's within walking distance, because restaurants on premise were pricey. I had the room & breakfast plan, which was worthwhile because the breakfast buffet is very nice, with fresh omelets, mini waffles, hot and cold cereal, breakfast meats, pastries, bagels, and lox (smoked salmon).
