“Great option for Hollywood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 March 2012

One block behind the Chinese Theatre and walk of fame...the perfect location! You can walk to all the Hollywood sights and the Hollywood / Highland subway station is just under the mall - and just one station to Universal Studios. We chose a smaller room ( Next time I would opt for a bigger one!! ) but the service more than compensated for the tiny room on the 3rd floor (no elevator)...sparkling apple juice on arrival, great buffet breakfasts and unlimited snacks and sodas...Reception staff were extra helpful, and the coin laundry (free powder) a real bonus at the end of our trip. Great outdoor pool too. The only place to stay in Hollywood!!

Room Tip: Spend the money and get a larger room...

Stayed for three nights in 1 bdrm suite while in LA. Quick 5 min. walk to Hollywood Walk of Fame and Graumanns Chinese Theatre. Also near Madame Tussaud Wax Museum. Service was great. Everyone at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Parking was very reasonable at $11/night and always found a parking spot. Free snacks, drinks and breakfast were also a plus.

We did switch rooms after the first night b/c of the street noise. Our room was facing the main street. The second room was better even though I still heard some street noise. It wasn't as bad as the first room. I will say that the rooms are dated and old. But it was clean and all the other perks make it worthwhile. I would stay there again.

I made a call while driving aimlessly around Hollywood and when Gabriela answered that was the beginning of a very nice though short stay. KUDOS to Gabriela and Joslyn at the front desk!! So nice and helpful!!! Nice little outdoor pool, spacious room, discount on the price, free candy/snacks, sodas, laundry soap, wonderful hot cider...and so much more. Pay parking but under hotel gated and safe! Great local near KODAK THEATRE, easy little walk to Hollywood BLVD. Gabriela and Joslyns boss should give them a RAISE!!!! Would very much so stay there again!! ~ Cain

This hotel is right in the heart of Hollywood, and right off the freeway. I can't even explain how spoiled we felt getting to pick out our FREE candy and FREE soft drinks. They even had loaner umbrellas bc we hit L.A. in the rain. We shared a 2 bedroom suite w/ another couple and even though there was only one bathroom it was fine. The main reason to stay at this hotel is to get admission into the exclusive Magic Castle. If you've been to L.A. before, what a treat to try something new like this. Rooms are clean, pool is heated and service was great!!!

I loved this place. From the time we arrived in a airport shuttle to the time we left we had everything we could ask for at our finger tips.

We arrived to be greeted at reception with a cocktail and wonderful service. They had everything ready for us including maps and an information pack for the area. We were shown to our room and it was great. It had a huge lounge room, dining room and kitchen were we could cook and the bathroom and master bedroom were spacious and we have a TV in the lounge and also in the bedroom. It was like being back at home. I really enjoyed having a bit of space to move about after being in tiny hotel rooms.

It was so close to the main strip of Hollywood and the Chinese theatre. There were plenty of restaurants that we could choose from all of our tours picked up along the strip and there was a supermarket around the corner so we could use the kitchen.

I loved the DVD menu we could use and the complimentary snack menu we could choose from at any time.

If I returned to LA I would stay here without a doubt!.

We initially drove up to the concierge of the actual Magic Castle but were quickly told to go next door to the hotel so was no problem. When you arrive, bear this is mind! Parking is under the hotel - easy, small charge but nothing drastic and very convieniant. Service here, as everyone says on TA, is outstanding. You get free snacks, 24 hours a day!! And they'll come to your room if you're too lazy to go to reception!! Such a cool touch. We always had a pack of oreos, granola bar and a can of Dr Pepper 'just in case we get peckish' on our way out and way back each day! Even when we checked out they encouraged us to get a bag full of snacks for our road trip to San Diego which we did, and that was great! The lobby drinks and snacks are lovely too, they do it every night. I had cucumber water one evening which was yummy! Another was apple cider, also yum! We had a suite and it didn't overlook the pool or have a balcony but that was fine for us as we didn't chill at the hotel during the day. Room was huge with seperate bedroom/living room/bathroom and a small kitchen linked to the living room. To be honest it was a bit wasted on us, the bedroom was so big we just used that! Pool is open 24 hours and is heated to 85 degrees. I was tempted to have a late night swim just for fun but decided against it - wiuld be nice though I imagine. Location is literally across the road from Hollywood Blvd and Walk of Fame, 2 mins away. The subway is right there too and just 1 stop from Universal Studios. You'll need a car/train to go to most other places but this is a fantastic base and wld stay here again in a heartbeat!

Overall the hotel is nice. The staff are fantastic and they've gone to extra lengths to help locate a lost item, which was much appreciated. The rooms were a little dated but they're clean. It's worth noting that (if you're a little silly like us), you wont be staying in the magic castle itself, or even go into it. The hotel is very central and in a great location to walk around the boulevard.
