Manhattan beach is my favorite little beach town in L.A. (much less touristy and pricey than Santa Monica and Venice) and the Sea View is my favorite place to stay. There are many different types of rooms distributed over 3 or 4 separate buildings only 2 blocks from the beach. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath 'Penthouse suite" which had a deck overlooking the ocean. The suite was very spacious and comfortable with a full kitchen, A/C, Jacuzzi-style tub, and a television in the living room and both bedrooms. It's a great value for the price. If I had to quibble, I would prefer more comfortable pillows and linens, but the beds are perfectly fine. The hotel has free bikes to borrow for a ride on the 26-mile long Strand bike path, as well as sand toys and boogie boards. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is around 1 mile north of the pier, but there are many good places to eat with just a block or two of the hotel. The Fish Bar and Four Daughters are my personal favorites.

Very close to everything fun in Manhattan Beach. Bicycles, boogie boards, and beach towels available to borrow for the day. The hotel staff is beyond friendly. For the money the best deal in town. Was a little bit strange that they still used keys instead of key cards however I felt very safe. This hotel felt like a little community with a lot of the hotel guests running into each other throughout the evening at local restaurants and bars. I enjoyed my vacation over Veterans Day weekend and staying at Sea View Inn made it feel like more than just a place to sleep.

Short walk to beach (2 blocks). Clean and spacious room. Fridge and microwave in room. Free bikes, beach towels, and boogie boards. Free parking. Friendly front desk staff. Restaurants, a coffee shop, and a convenience store all within 1-2 blocks. A 20min walk to pier. Great location and value. Already booked to return in 2017!

Room tip: Room 305 doesn't have a view but is large and quiet. Loved it!

We stayed here as a group of five, 3 in a two bed suite and two in an executive suite. Hotel is close to the beach along with a range of local amenities such as a sports bar, pizzeria, a number of cafe/restaurants, juice bar, laundry store, convenience store and a cake/bake shop in the same street block. Rooms were clean with stunning sea views which face West catching the great California sunsets. Hotel staff went the extra mile for our group which made for a great vacation. Thanks to all at the Sea View Inn.

We loved our time at The Sea View Inn at the Beach as it was close to LAX and a very beautiful area - great shops and restaurants and riding bikes along the foreshore was fantastic. I would recommend this as a stop over on your way elsewhere in America and also to stay for a week or so.

Room tip: ask for a view
