Description: C&O Trattoria (C&O) has been open since 1969. Now a well known Venice Beach landmark, serving Northern Italian breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. It has become known for good food and friendly service in a relaxed garden setting. On May 1, 1993, C & O Trattoria officially opened a Northern Italian concept, unlike any other in Los Angeles, serving gargantuan portions of high quality Northern Italian pastas at unbelievably low prices. Add our "Killer Garlic Rolls," nightly sing along, honor wine bar, and friendly team service and you have the C & O Trattoria, one of LA's premier Northern Italian eateries.

“Very, very good”
Reviewed 15 May 2010

A fun place with great food and big portions. The waitress started of by writing her name with a chalk on the table! We instantly wrote our names to and some other stuff and had a laugh together. Then came the garlic balls (on the house) that was just marvelous. The main course could easely be shared for two, they are huge. And extremley tasty.

“Garlic dough-balls to die for”
Reviewed 28 April 2010

If the weather good, sit in the court-yard and watch all the action outside as well as listening ti the buzzy atmosphere of this place. The waiter automatically bought us water and some of their dough-balls which are just amazing but an instant heart-attack may follow. Portions are generous rather than enormous, which is good. And the quality of the food, whether it be the calamari fritti or the salads and pasta is well above average. Fine dinning it is not, but it's not supposed to be that way. It's relaxed, fun and you can fill your tummy with some good food.

“Rome, Venice, Milan and Marina Del Rey!!!”
Reviewed 23 March 2010

Based on the strength of the reviews my wife, kids and I went to C&O Trattoria for lunch this past Sunday. After a week long cruise - this was by far and away the best meal we had on a recent vacation to Southern California.

First, your meal starts with the Garlic Bites - small clusters of dough covered in a buttery garlic oil. These were addictive and excellent. Then, our family had a plate of golden fried calamari, and stuffed mushroom caps. Again, these were terrific appetizers.

For the entree, we had the Lobster Linguini, Veal Parm, Short Ribs, and Lemon Chicken with Capers. Folks - there was a enough food for small army! Every meal was large, and tasted fantastic. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly.

“Tasty pasta with a family style environment”
Reviewed 23 February 2010

Pasta was very tasty and reasonably priced. Try the Chianti. It's a good deal and tastes great. It's also an opportunity for the server to draw on your table cloth - he drew a smiley face and added a hair to the head for each glass consumed.

Service was friendly and good without being fake or smothering.
