This hotel is a fine stop before heading into Yosemite. Our check in was easy. The only bummer is that there is no elevator. I know, it’s not that terrible, but when you have to go up to the third floor with heavy luggage, it’s a bit of a bummer. There is a back set of parking spots (only 4 spaces) where you can unload your stuff and only have to go up one set of stairs instead of two. The room was spacious and comfy. Breakfast is included (nice surprise). It included eggs, sausage, waffle station, yogurt, fruits, cereal, pastries/English Muffins/bagels/toast. Good selection. It was super crowded in the breakfast spot, which made it super hot too. Overall, a fine spot to stay on your way to Yosemite.

We were a late at night walk in booking due to having car issues on our way to Yosemite. The staff in the front desk were lovely and offered us a reduction in cost for a last minute booking. Rooms were a good size and had all we needed and we slept well. Staff were really helpful and lovely. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

We came to see something of Yosemite at late winter. Spent two nights that were comfortable stays. The place is a little tired around the edges, but generally in good repair. Sloped parking lot caused us a bit of concern when frost arrived overnight. Breakfast was the usual fare for a self-serve arrangement. We could hear some noise between rooms, but not loud enough to disturb sleep. When we arrived the bathroom had an empty lotion bottle tipped over by the sink. Two dark hairs lay on the bathroom floor. Not ours as we are both very grey. You will drive into the town to find lunch/dinner. Mariposa is a bit tight on parking overall.

Night Sleep quality: fine
Day time sleep quality: big fat zero. I got up in the middle of the night to drive to Yosemite to photograph at day break. After that, I drove back to get some sleep before driving back to Yosemite. There were some men cutting down a tree. No one at the motel gave me a heads up.

Wifi: good

Hot water: good

"Breakfast": has never been good. Has never touched a rating of even average.

When the chain saw wasn't working away, American Robins made their way to the budding trees and gulped down some berries.

Large room in a good location. Helpful staff. Room could be updated but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was self-service buffet and it was OK quality. Would book again if I returned to Mariposa.
