I visited the Twin Pine Casino during a business trip to Napa Valley. It's a nice comfortable casino. It is not glamorous or high-energy like the Atlantic City or Vegas casinos. It's more rustic and relaxed. The interior was nice and reminded me of a log cabin or some kind of mountain resort kinda decor. They have a restaurant and sports bar inside and they offer wine tasting. Playing at the tables was great. And yes, they had $5 blackjack tables! The tables weren't crowded at all and I was able to play quite a few head-to-head games, which was good. You have to pay for cocktails, though. Only soda and coffee are free. There is a hotel attached to the casino, too. I enjoyed my time there.
Downside: the casino is on the other side of this huge mountain called Mount St. Helena. The entrance is in the town of Calistoga in Napa valley. The mountain is 6 miles up and 6 miles down and the roads are treacherous! Every inch of those 12 miles is extremely windy with lots of super sharp twists and turns. And its a two lane highway - get stuck behind Ms. Daisy and in you're in for a long ride. This is a drive you absolutely must focus your full attention on at all times. One mistake could send you flying off the side of the mountain.
But at least you'll have a great view of Napa Valley on your way down...
