We went on a weekday afternoon. We pre-purchased our tickets online. This allowed us to avoid the crowds at the ticket window... But it also should have been a warning. Most every tank had crowds 3-4 people deep making it impossible to see anything but what was swimming at the top. If you want to see anything up close you have to wait and worm your way up to the front. It is NOT an enjoyable experience after a while.
This is an excellent aquarium, but given that the exhibits are so difficult to see and the management has little appreciation for crowd control or limiting the flow of visitors, I cannot recommend a visit.
