My husband and I spent 1 night at David's beautiful Shasta MountInn Retreat & Spa to attend an August wedding in McCloud. One word: Amazing! We have decided we must find a way to sneak away from the kids once a year to visit this gem in the heart of Shasta. Upon arrival, David offered us an upgraded room since he was hosting one other houseguest. Upon arrival, we both fell into cozy massaging couches and found it difficult to leave for our special evening. David felt like family by the time we left - even after our short stay. We enjoyed our privacy but loved chatting with David over a fantastic breakfast.

Don't make the mistake we did and only stay one night. To truly enjoy this paradise, stay at least two nights.

David. Thank you for making our stay so special. We loved opening our 2nd floor window to view the beauty of the stars and trees. Relaxing with a cup of coffee on the beautiful deck (always the competent host - a full coffee pot in the morning). Access to snacks and goodies in the upstairs fridge. Too many comforts to detail here. We had finally relaxed from life's hectic pace and found we were too soon on our way home.

We will be back.

Jessica & John

We spent two nights at the Inn in January 2012. The home is beautifully decorated, fully equiped, immaculate, quiet, and within walking distance to downtown. The host was very friendly and made us feel truly at home. So much so, I felt comfortable wearing my PJs to breakfast. We really enjoyed the healthy breakfasts (whole grain pancakes, eggs, veggies, yogurt, fresh berries, etc.) and talking with the other guests around the table. The host encouraged us to help ourselves to anything in the refrigerator and cupboards. The snacks came in handy for our daily outings. The hot tub was "hot" and very private. There was a nice place to sit and relax later in the evening with plenty of movies to select from. Thank you David for a wonderful experience! We'll be back!!

Room Tip: Shower in the Secret Room is small, so if you're "big," it might be a tight squeeze.

We stayed on 8-11-11 for 3 nights and 11-11-11 for 4 nights. We WILL be back! We have stayed in Inn's across America and this is the BEST we ever stayed at. David is a wonderful InnKeeper too. Makes you feel at home. Supplies a dynamite Breakfast and all the snacks you want to eat during the day and night. This last time we stayed in the Edson Room with Mt Shasta showing out our windows. Huge King Bed that is extreamly comfortable with lots of pillows. I never wanted to get out of bed!! Eating breakfast in David's dinning room was a great experience too. I cannot say enough!! We will be coming back!! Thank You David!!

Room Tip: Please talk with David. We have stayed in both the Edson Room & the MAGIC MOUNTAIN ROOM too. Both are FANTASTIC. You can go to his website for a compleat & detailed view of each room: http://www.shastamountinn.com/

What a wonderful B&B experience. David is a great host and breakfast was exceptional right down to remembering dietary restrictions. He makes you feel very much at home.

We stayed in the Shasta Secret Room. The bed was so comfortable we could have taken it with us. Variety of pillows. The fireplace was great.

We also appreciated the relaxation room upstairs which included a stove, microwave and fridge. Lovely for making late night tea. After our hike up Mt Shasta we very much enjoyed the lounge chairs with the foot massagers.

This is the best B&B we have ever stayed in.
