We have been here several times but have not been back in many years. Looking forward to visiting again. Had called a couple days before arrival and requested rooms with view overlooking golf. Told over phone that we would have 2 'stunning' rooms. However, we ended up with both looking directly over the parking lot. No privacy. We were told no other rooms for our stay. My issue is to not to inform guests have great rooms when knowingly these two rooms are looking at cars in a parking lot . Not so stunning!

The restaurant was a great pick for our festive reunion dinner because of the beautiful grounds and distinctive decor of the place. Nice selections on the menu and quite a large bar selection.

Just overlooking the beautiful view and how green it is compared to LA. Each hole had its own challenges but fair. Had some trouble with the numerous sand traps. Especially on the signature hole #16. Great par 3 but to have to lay up to avoid the traps? Second day played it different. Such beauty and flowers and wonderful large trees. Rolling hills and a few blind shots. Overall, it was fantastic and the staff in pro shop were friendly and encouraging. Starter provided us with coffee and balls for the range. Very upscale course that treated everyone like royalty. Would love to come back and play again. I was having some knee pain so didn't make the best round but didn't give up either. The morning started off cool and wet, and suddenly the sun came out and it was perfect. Greens were fast.

Great staff, which is only surpassed by a great golf experience. This traditional "parkland style" course doesn't disappoint. Challenging, yet fair, hole set-ups are interesting to the eye as well as affording panoramic and sweeping views of arroyo, barrancas, and lush green hillsides from elevated tee boxes (lots of winter/ spring rain this year) added to the over-all enjoyment of this challenging venue. Play the Blue's. . . . .

We've been to this hotel numerous times but last weekend's stay reminded me that I enjoy my time here as much - or more - than any resort, anywhere, that I've ever been to. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, the rooms are beautifully appointed in a "country chic" mode and the staff is attentive, eager to please and incredibly knowledgeable about the local area as well as the resort. I'm not a golfer but the guests in our party who did use the course raved about it. We've used the spa before, too, which is excellent.

If you are looking for a weekend getaway or a week-long golf outing I highly recommend it. Everything from fine dining to great breakfasts to a well-equipped market cafe for morning pastries and coffee are at your fingertips.

Go and enjoy.
