“Ridiculous Cancellation Policy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2012

I love the hotel itself and have been going there for years. I booked a trip there last month and I had to cancel because my mother was having surgery. They actually asked me to get a note from her doctor in order to get out of the cancellation charge. Which I did and then they removed the charge, but it put a really bad taste in my mouth. There are plenty of other hotels that are nice in Palm Springs and not so desperate for money.

perfect days with perfect night. the best hotel hands down in Palm Springs, great vibe but cost $$$$. Plan on giving away your first born. If you like to spend money at a great resort then this is the place to go. Stay in a Villa there are the best room with a great private back yard

We needed to escape the LA lifestyle for a nice treat and a special occasion. We scaned a variety of reviews for different properties in Palm Springs. And finally made up our mind on deciding on the Parker. GREAT CHOICE. Yes of course there are no flat screen TVs in the rooms and maybe the one or the other room does not have an amazing view. But who wants to spend all day in the room anyway. Our room was spacious, great design and the bathroom extra large. Everything was clean, which happens not that often in a design hotel. The Spa is a master piece - successfully reviving the 70ties with a modern touch. The park is beautiful to spend the entire day in... with mountains in the background and a clear sky - nothing more to ask for. We went to Mr Parker for Dinner, which was beautiful, thx to our knowledgeable Server. Breakfast at Norma's was absolutely delicious... the menu is creatively written and the served delights are even better. Would we go back to the Parker - YES of course anytime. I used to be only a Jonathan Adler fan - now I have signed up for the Parker as well.
Special thanks to Alex (FrontDesk), Rose and the Restaurant manager.

Very cool interior- you feel as if you've gone back in time as soon as you pull up. I half expected Frank Sinatra or Miss Monroe to be sipping cocktails in the lobby. We were here for a wedding weekend. The wedding was beautiful on the croquet lawn and then in the ballroom. I highly recommend the space since the cocktail hour is held in an area enclosed with tall bushes full of lights... it sets a gorgeous evening backdrop... As for the hotel, you can stay in one of the spacious rooms in the actual hotel or you can rent one of the little back cottages... both are very charming, spacious and have the coolest decor. :-D The service was excellent, the bed was comfy and the rooms seemed to sparkle as it was all white with splashes of orange and red and shag rugs. Very clean and "bright". Something about the decor and vibe just made you ready for fun, and maybe a little mischief...

If you're a Mid-Mod fan and appreciate the styling of Jonathan Adler's esthetic (Happy, Hippie, Fun) then this place is right up your alley.

A quick drive from the uptown district where you can walk, shop, eat & drink this gem in centrally located for all your needs.

roughly an hour from Joshua Tree for an adventuresome hike and back to their spa where you can use the steam room & sauna as part of your stay.

Previous reviews inaccurate when it comes to spg upgrades, we got bumped to a Jnr Suite easy peasy (platinum member)

Have fun and enjoy the lemonade!!

Great pools. Wonderful popsicles (vodka), great bath products, comfortable bed, lovely design (thanks Mr. Adler). Only wish there was a way to get a cup of coffee. Went to the lobby and asked for one, a few minutes later a waiter arrives with a large pot of coffee and the bill for $12 or $13 before tip. Complimentary weekend yoga was great both days.

The Parker is more than a superb hotel experience, capturing the luster of everything Palm Springs was and is. It's a state of mind, a sensibility rich in shedding the frenetic pace of life. The veteran staff here was nothing short of professional, courteous, and -- contrary to one bafflingly unappreciative reviewer here -- far, far more than "adequate". The employees attentively leapt on any question or need we had, anticipating and constantly going the extra mile. The grounds were spotless, the spa even more so. I only wish we'd brought one more pair of tennis shoes so we could have utilized the clay courts!
