We love The Willows! We recently returned for our 4th visit. Everything about The Willows is magical from the moment you enter the gated premises. We inhaled the fragrance of the colorful spring flowers as we made our way through what became our home for the next several nights. You quickly feel as if you are visiting friends after meeting the warm, caring staff.
We were immediately drawn to the 50' waterfall that was cascading down just outside of the dining area. Lucky us, we had a room that looked right out onto the waterfall. The grounds were so beautiful with chairs and tables scattered along the path. Everything was perfect about our entire experience.

Room Tip: Every room has its own charm and character.

Wow! An incredibly majestic and peaceful place to stay and a wonderful way to spend a weekend in Palm Springs. You may think it has to be a joke that The Willows consistently gets 5 out of 5 on here... well, it isn't.
From the swallow-you-up-and-forget-about-the-world matresses, to the claw-footed bathtubs, elegant food and breathtaking views, The Willows doesn't disappoint. I could have spent a whole year there; you can't help but walk around with your head held that little bit higher! As soon as you arrive, you are part of this sumptious mansion and it's lifestyle- so enjoy it!
A true getaway and a beautiful place. Worth the money- treat yourself!

All of the previous reviewers accurately describe The Willows. It's a small, charming, historical home that has been lovingly converted to a Bed & Breakfast Inn located within walking distance of downtown Palm Springs. Everything about the B & B is designed to encourage guests to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. The breakfasts and evening appetizers are beautifully prepared from a varied menu and served on china and white linen tablecloths. Sipping wine each evening on the lovely patio overlooking the pool and mountains was an antidote to the stress of work and winter. The rooms are all decorated with beautiful period furnishings; the beds are very comfortable with high thread count sheets. The staff is attentive and eager to be sure you are comfortable and content.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Einstein room that has a private patio. If requested, guests staying in this room can enjoy breakfast on the patio rather than going to the dining room. While we enjoyed this feature, the room faces north and is quite dark and doesn't have a view of the mountains. I would choose a south facing room if I returned.

If you are looking for a wonderful place to unwind in the desert, this is it! The Willows is tucked into the side of a mountain just 2 blocks from the main street through old town Palm Springs. The Willows was built in 1924 by a wealth attorney for his family. It is fully modern with air conditioning, comfortable beds and sofas, and flat screen TV (tucked discretely away in an armoire). The rooms have high ceilings and have been fully restored so when you walk into the room, it's like stepping back in time. All 8 guestrooms are private and quiet, you can't hear anyone else moving around the building. The staff is very attentive to your needs but non intrusive. The property is gated so you can park your car right next to the building and there is also a locked garden gate that you are given a key to that is the only other entrance to the property. The building is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a walking path with secret little sitting areas all along it. In the back of the house is a huge man made waterfall the the original owner built as a means to keep the house cool on hot days. you can climb all the way up above the waterfall for a beautiful view of the mountains and other properties in the area. Inside the house itself, the main sitting area is on the 2nd floor and has high ceilings, wood floors, a fireplace, large sitting area and baby grand piano. The sitting area opens up to decks and comfortable chairs overlooking the pool, mountains, palm trees and rooftops of other homes in the area. On the backside of the sitting ara is a covered patio where you are served your breakfast in courses. The patio has a tiled fireplace and can be opened up to the pond and the waterfall! They have installed sliding glass doors so the waterfall may be separated from the patio dining on cool mornings and evenings. The breakfasts are delicious gourmet delights made on the premises by their chef. Last but not least, there is an evening wine and appetizer hour in the large sitting room. It's a nice event to mingle with the other guests, or not!

The Willows in Palm Springs is a 4-diamond resort in every sense of the way. From the moment you arrive until you depart. There's plenty of privacy too including a locked and gated entrance. With a quick phone call to the Inn they come down to greet you, let you in, and help you with your luggage.

The Inn was built in the 1930's and has all the charm of this period with modern day amenities. The huge stone fireplace in the main parlor is warm and inviting. The waterfall feature off the dining area is peaceful and Zen like. The ceiling coffers are restored beautifully.

Afternoon happy hour with small plate items are served. There's a lovely veranda that overlooks the pool and this is a wonderful place to surrender to the evening with wine in hand.

Breakfast is delicious and included in the price of your room. A three-course gourmet meal is served with juice and coffee. Add the waterfall and your day is near perfection.

The location of the Inn is terrific too. It’s within a two or three block walk to many places including shopping, Starbucks, and the Thursday evening street fair.

I will return, hands down!!

Room Tip: I stayed in the Einstein Room. It has its own private patio right next to the waterfall. You can hear the waterfall and it's very relaxing. There's a small table and chairs and two lounge chairs. I would stay there again. Amazing!!!
