We stopped here during our motorcycle tour of the area, and it was a worthwhile stop. Very friendly service, and friendly to transients like us who were just passing through. The food was good, although vegetarian with a limited menu.
Coincidentally there was a Corvette club there at the same time, so we got to see some nice cars. From what the staff there told me, this is a popular destination for such clubs, who want to show off their bikes or cars on the weekends.
Mother's location is right at the top of Palomar Mountain. It's very close to the local observatory, which is itself a nice place to visit. For motorcyclists, you'll absolutely love the nearby South Grade Road, which is a mountainside road with absolutely amazing views and lots of twists and turns. It's a challenging road and best taken slowly, but you'll see some young kids flying down the road faster than they should when you're there..
So all in all, I'd say check out Mother's as part of your exploration of Palomar Mountain. It is a great place to rest and grab a bite.
