Overall great experience and location. We stayed in the Jr. Suits. plenty of room and great view. Hotel is very clean throughout.

Historic Property with modernization like Motel 6

Man, what this property could have been - gorgeous, historic, beautiful old bar and pool and rooms are done over like Motel 6 with corner king upgrade tiny, with shower and toilet within feet of the bed. Didn't honor the historic vibe at all and attempted to be edgy and just looks cheap. Early check in that was confirmed was reneged at the last minute when we had a wedding to get ready for - given no early warning it wouldn't be available.

Everything was perfect. The hotel is very comfortable with spacious rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. I also used the gym which was fine for what I needed (free weight area) and I enjoyed the pool and rooftop. The hotel was in an excellent location for Pasadena Convention Center and to do some sightseeing. Would stay here again.

Facilities and furnishings were exceptional. The details need a little attention. No complimentary water bottles in the rooms, water temp in the shower gets way too hot, not enough storage in the basic rooms. Pool and Gym were awesome and the overall stay was great. Staff was great and very responsive.

A disappointment on all levels....the property itself was once really lovely but it hasn't been kept up. The staff was very nice but inept. One problem after another! I booked the nicest room they had specifically for the gorgeous tub, and it didn't work. We were trapped in the parking garage and it took a comedy of errors to get us out. The breakfast is actually a grumpy girl in front of a coffee maker with a starbucks sign.
Room tip: Cannot advise anyone to stay here!

My room was clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect for business at CalTech, and close to many great places to eat. The staff were very friendly. I had two issues. My room was not ready at check-in; I waited a half hour past check-in time and it was hard to get an update as to when I would get in the room. When I did get a room, it was not the type I had booked (balcony with pool view). I let this go because I didn't want to wait again. Despite these issues, I would stay at the hotel again.
