It was a charming combination of mediterranean cuisines. We had a little bit of middle-eastern and pasta and risotto ... fabulous

The Jaffa cafe is attached to a local all American restaurant under one roof so there is plenty to chose from but Jaffa has those wonderful falafels, sauces and variety plates that makes this a good choice for vegetarians as well as meat eaters. We'll always go back for more.

I rarely write poor reviews, this time I felt is was duty to share with other travelers.
Had dinner there recently, bad experience all around.
As they suggested, we ordered at the counter to save time, then sat down in the restaurant to dine. No the "experience" began:

Food came out in Styrofoam Boxes - unbelievable for a sit down restaurant in downtown Paso ( a foodie haven). I did not order take out, what the heck.
No silverware on the table, you get to get your own, no follow up service, no "hows your meal". Zero on the customer service side, though they are all very nice, no clue on how to run a good restaurant IMO.

Not very busy, so the service should have been good, if not great.
Sad because the owner was there working and thus should know better - shame.

The food was way too SALTY, multiple dishes; the Baba Ghanoush was so salty that it was not even edible. Wow !

Upon my departure, I did let them know of the poor food quality and the Salt problem, they were very nice about it and let me know that "They were have some challenges in the Kitchen" at the moment. I feel that is is only fair to a place to let them know of any problems, so they are aware and have a chance to address them (with love and grace).
I will probably never go back to see if they ever get it resolved, too many other good eateries in this area to have a second bad experience.

Note - they share a kitchen with another Restaurant at the same location, they share the building, not sure if this adds to the problems or not.

Note - Bottom line: Bad food, poor service - Too much like a bad fast food joint.
skip this one !

This is a great stop for good middle eastern food. Portions are perfect sized not too much not too little. Walking distance from down town. You can dine in or take out. You can call ahead and pick up. Good quality food

We always go here for a quick pastry and a cup of coffee. We have not tried the Middle Eastern food but it looks delicious. It is attached to the Panolivo cafe.
