If you are driving down 101 toward San Francisco from Sonoma valley and you want to stop for lunch or dinner, Paso Robles, is a quaint little town to stop, eat and shop. F Mc Lintocks is a piece of the wild west to stop and enjoy. The décor is like a hunting lodge. we sat at the bar and the service was good, the food was good and the atmosphere outstanding.

First skip happy hour!. I have never sent back a drink in my drinking life, but here. The bartender and waitress stated they use the CHEAPEST bourbon they can find and they were right. The drink was clear with no color - it should be some stage of caramel. Had the full rack rib dinner and it was okay - though in my opinion overcooked. The waitress was just terrific

We have eaten at McLintocks many times over the years and enjoyed the food. We were a bit disappointed the past two years., The menu is a bit limited for our tastes. The macadamia crusted halibut was a bit dry and in a pool of sweet sauce accompanied by a rather spicy Asian slaw. We preferred the menu a few years ago when it was more American flavored with less sauces.

First of all, my husband and I are not complainers, but our dinner was so disappointing. Yes, the restaurant handled our disappointment very well and did all the right things to compensate. If you have ever been to any of the other F McClintock restaurants in Shell Beach or Tumalo (Tumalo Feed Company in Bend, OR) then you'll expect a "howdy" welcome and a very flavorful steak with all the tasty trimmings (onion rings, salsa, salad, camp beans, ranch potatoes, and an after dinner liqueur or root beer float for dessert ) included in your meal price. And, it would all be delicious! Not so in Paso Robles. The meat was not cooked to order and it had no flavor whatsoever. If you are looking for a "McClintock's experience", this restaurant doesn't measure up.
