“Nice hotel for the $, Good experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 October 2011

Overall this hotel is fine. I stay here when traveling on business. It's clean, the grounds are absolutely wonderful. The Faz Restaurant in the hotel is good. The location is good, it's quiet too. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. It has internet. Plenty of parking. The pool and hot tub are great too.
I wish they would resolve an issue with the bathroom door. It closes by itself because I believe it is one a spring. It shouldn't do that; I always have to prop it open. Stay on the first floor if you can because there are no elevators to the second floor. If you have a lot of luggage to carry you don't want to schlep it up the stairs to the second floor. I feel secure on the first floor even though some rooms have sliding glass doors to a little private patio.

Room Tip: Rooms on the ends of the buildings are larger. No elevators so stay on the first floor.

Business meeting in Pleasanton brought me to this roadsie oaisis. Large grounds with an inside garden area that surrounds the pool. Waterfalls and streams meander through the grounds. The room circel the outside with deluxe facing the garden area. My room was on the second floor with a nice sized balcony. There are no eleavtors that I could find in my area but plenty of stairs. Each set of rooms has a key card entry hallway. Parking surrounds the outside areas and there was plenty. Very nice room with large king bed, nice sized bathroom and large sitting area with desk. This is the perfect larger room for a business stay of more than a few days. Flatscreen TV. Multiple pillows and a very large King bed. I was very happy with this room. Front desk was fine, no delays. Resturant was very good with a med flair. Small work out room but the area arounds the hotel has plenty of sidewalk for running.

Great property and very close to where I needed to work. The courtyard was a nice touch. If you can get a room facing courtyard/pool, do it. The internet connection was flawless, unless you were in the hotel bar/restaurant. Free water in rooms, decent coffee you can brew yourself, but no fridge (or bottle opener). Ice machine is not conveniently located either.

Restaurant was good, limited menu. Pasta dishes were great. Didn't try the pizza, but it looked good. (wood fired oven)

Room Tip: Courtyard view rooms are nice, especially ground floor. Patios for reading or having a drink a plus.

We asked several people including the tour guide and room service people, finally we believed the incredible truth that there was no elevator to the second floor. We had to pull the huge luggage up by ourselves after a long day of trip.

I was put up in this hotel for 4 nights during a recent business trip. We arrived quite late at the hotel, but had quite a friendly welcome at check-in. The reception had been waiting for our arrival and we felt happy that they kept the rooms for us eventhough we arrived at about 10pm without firstly informing them of our late arrival. The manager on duty was very warm and friendly and it was a pleasant welcome.

I was quite happy with the room - it was quite spacious, clean and comfortable. The huge king-sized bed was plush and inviting plus the sheets were clean. No problems with sleeping and they provided 4 pillows.

I greatly appreciated the complimentary high-speed WIFI. The flat screen LCD also added to the comfort of my stay and made the room feel quite modern, despite the rather traditional-looking furniture. My room looked out to the garden, which was very lovely and beautiful - nice fountain and great views of the garden which was blooming with purple flowers during my stay there. The landscaping is very well done and made the place very relaxing.

Bathroom was neat and clean. The white tiles and counter made it look bright and fresh. My complain here would be that they did not provide any shower cap, although they provided other basic amenities such as soap, shampoo and body lotion. I would have thought a shower cap is quite a basic amenity and it is quite surprising for them not to provide for it.

There was a mini refridgerator, coffee machine and a microwave in the room. Although they provided paper cups, they did not provide any porcelain mugs for the coffee or tea. It would be nice if they provided ceramic mugs since this can be re-used. The paper cups can be used if we needed to take-away our coffee or tea. No kettle was provided in the room.

We had breakfast with our room and it was at Faz Restaurant. Service from Faz himself was not great (he was rather grumpy and grouchy) but subsequent mornings, we had slightly better service from the other staff, eventhough there weren't that many people at breakfast. The level of service still needs improvement and the staff needs to be more attentive. The buffet breakfast spread was not considerable, but it was good variety and the taste of the food was good. One suggestion would be to change their breakfast buffet slightly on a daily basis since we had the same fare for 4 mornings and it can get a little boring.

Kudos to the hotel for providing 2 computers at the lobby with internet and printers. Printing is free and this was a much valued convenience, especially guests staying for business. You can always get something printed and for free! Parking is not an issue at all since there are many parking spaces and parking is complimentary.

The only major grouse I have with this hotel is the lack of elevators to the rooms. Although we had some help from the hotel staff to carry our luggages to our rooms (on the second floor), we did not have the same flexibility and mobility since we had to rely on the bellboy/staff. Upon check-out, we lugged our luggages down to our car ourself as this was much faster. However, it wasn't easy with huge and heavy luggages. If you expect to have heavy luggages, perhaps it would be good to ensure that you are checked into a room on the ground floor.

Overall, I would say that the pros out-weigh the cons and that my stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The hotel is quiet and the well-landscaped garden added to the serenity of the hotel.

Room Tip: Request for a room on the ground floor if you have heavy luggages or have mobility problems as there...

We stayed at the hotel for six nights earlier this month while visiting our son and his family. I am going to talk about the bathroom first. The light switch is inside the bathroom and you have to grope for it, because it's nowhere near the door. When you turn the light on at 3:00 in the morning you'll wish you hadn't found it. The light comes on and it is bright enough to perform major surgery. At the same time, the exhaust fan comes on and it's deafening. What an assault on the senses when you've just awakened out of a sound sleep! Even after the first time, when you know it's coming, it's simply overwhelming. So, if you plan to stay here, bring a flashlight and a nightlight and leave it on all night.

The first impression of Sheraton Four Points Hotel is pretty impersonal. The front desk greeting could use more warmth. Please try to act as though you are glad to see us! The second thing you notice is that it's very spread out. That's because there are 214 rooms in a number of 2-story buildings. The grounds are really lovely, with flowers and fountains and little brooks everywhere. The pool is gorgeous, clean and quiet. Our room was really far away from the main building and faced a parking lot. Outside, you could really hear the traffic from the highway, but inside, all it's inaudible. I do wish that we'd had a room facing the gardens, though.

The beds are very comfortable, even though the blankets are not duvets. The bathroom is well-appointed and very clean. There is no safe nor a refrigerator in the room. The coffee -maker in the room makes terrible coffee, one paper cup at a time. My sweet husband walked to the lobby every morning to get us coffee and the newspapers. Very nice.

The desk is positioned in front of the air-conditioner. It is impossible to sit at the desk and do any work while the unit is on. It's freezing! I just had to turn it off until I was done. Fortunately, it was not very hot in Pleasanton while we were there.

We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant one morning. There is a buffet. I am not a big fan of breakfast buffets. But we were in a hurry and it was quick . . . except waiting for the check. There was some kind of a meeting going in a private room, so they were busy with that. The door was open, so it was like we were in the meeting. The only thing I dislike more than going to a meeting is going to someone else's meeting. We did not do breakfast there again. I have to say, however, that it is a very pleasant room and the bar is really attractive. I can see how, if you were there with a group ion business that it would be a great place to hang out at the end of the day.

It's really hard to rate this hotel, because the property is very beautiful and, for the most part, quiet. And I really appreciate the complimentary WiFi a lot! I am leaning towards giving it another chance the next time we are in the neighborhood.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing inward to the beautiful grounds. The second floor is quieter than the first...

This non-smoking hotel presents large clean rooms in an area that seems to appear very safe. They offer a convenient shuttle to nearby BART station and are friendly and attentive to their guests. The pool was a good size and the landscaping between the hotel buildings was very nice.
Check-in was quick and friendly!
