EFBC is just amazing. They house over 80 small and big cats, including tigers, and yet they are a nonprofit organization running straight off of donations from the public. All of the people who work there are volunteers except for 5people. They work hard there keeping their cats healthy and happy and take pride knowing they are number one for breeding and being known WORLD wide for their breeding success. There is always someone there to answer any questions about anyone of the cats that live there and they are just filled with all kinds if random interesting facts about them too! A must see!

The Cat House is one of the few animal attractions at which you can get VERY close to the big cats! I was trying to find something to do with a teenager that was visiting us in that area, and since he is an animal person we decided to check this out. It is a small facility, and won't take you long to see, but if you've never seen the yellows of a leopard's eyes up close, it's worth going. Be sure to ask questions to the volunteers working- it's a more interesting visit if you get a little history about the cats and the facility. They also have a few special events each year that cat lovers would really enjoy. It's $5 for adults, they have a small gift shop, and it's a good way to support a cause and spend an afternoon. Lots of information on their website at http://www.cathouse-fcc.org/

My wife and I must stop by every time we drive from the San Jose to Vegas. The people are great and seeing big cats up close is amazing.

We went to the September 2010 Twilight Tour. We had been to a twilight tour the year before and were excited to be going back. This time was more crowded than our previous visit but we expected that since the AAA magazine had done an article about the place. There was a long line of cars going into the parking lot but they had people directing cars to spaces and it was very efficient. We were parked and had purchased our tickets in just a few minutes.

They had plenty of food for purchase and the cats were spectacular as always. We had a great time and can't wait to visit again soon.

We were here for an event at Edwards Air Force Base for a few days in 2009 and found out about the cat house from a blurb on the Mojave Desert Inn website. My wife and I love cats and the place sounded interesting from the info on the website so we planned a visit. We were not disappointed, what an amazing place. I've never seen such an incredible variety of rare cats who look healthy and well cared for by the knowledgeable staff. We stayed for a few hours and over time were able to see almost all of the cats up close as they came out to check us out. The snow leopards were gorgeous and I enjoyed watching the margays, serval play. We both fell in love with the place right away and have been donors/members since then. I look forward to visiting again!
Definitely make time to visit if you're ever near Mojave/Rosamond and have an interest in animals and nature.
