We've eaten here many times and keep going back because of the friendly service and consistently good food. It's also one of the few places in SLO where you can walk in shortly before 10p on a weekend night and they will still seat and serve you. Tasty menu, good wine selection, and reasonably priced.

Eclectic menu--eggplant sandwiches, great soups, nice salads. Very popular with locals.

We live in Marin County and weekends in SLO....tasty, interesting, healthly food is what we look for in a restaurant. Big Sky meets those requirements with friendly service and reasonable prices-we eat at the bar and they know our names. A glass of wine is $5-$8 vs.$10 to $20-they serve all local vintners and a nice cross selection. We are most fond of their favorable Pozole (with pork or vegetarian), the cumin and vegetable infused turkey chili, the summer gazpacho, and the market vegetable platter which uses great local fresh veggies in interesting preparations. There is a very tasty chicken sandwich that you can get with sweet potato fries to die for. There are nightly specials both for meat lovers and vegetarians. Breakfast is very popular and can get a bit crowded, we often take out of town guests for breakfast and they always rave about the pancakes.

We usually stop here for breakfast, but recently found their dinners are just as good. Unique and healthy items on the menu, fresh muffins and bread, large selection of local wines, and fabulous service -- even to non-locals.

My daughter and I have been going to Big Sky Cafe since it opened! We love the atomsphere, the staff is always friendly and great. We love that they expanded the eating to the sidewalk and that they have continually moving art work displayed by local artists. The bar is well stocked with unusual goodies and I personally LOVE the white bean and tuna salad served with those delightful corn muffins. My daughter is a vegan, and Big Sky has a wide selection for her to chose from - not always the case in other places. Try their
sweet potatoe fries! You'll soon become a "believer" too!
