Nice place, clean, tidy, good rooms and feels safe.

Breakfast included is really quite good, all you need for a decent start to day.

Decent little gym too, hot tub and pool but we didn’t use it.

Would definitely stay again.

This was the last stop on our extended trip, and we wanted it to be a comfortable one. The Sands filled the our expectations perfectly. The rooms were more than adequate in size, the beds remarkably comfortable, the amenities were all there. Showers were great , all the appliances worked, and we woke up to a fine breakfast in the office area. Will be back!

For MLK jr we decided to visit the San Luis Obispo area, from Morro Bay to Pismo Beach and the Edna valley wineries, and Avila Beach. Our stay at Sands inn was very pleasant, especially because of its location allows easy access to the Freeway and all the points of interest which by the way includes SLO MISSION and the downtown farmers market on Thursday evenings. The room although small, was clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful, offered DVD’s to watch free of charge ( after a wonderful hike to the top of Cerro San Luis it was good to relax while watching an oldy). Being able to have free hot breakfast is not bad either.

Upon check in, we found it necessary to need an extra bed, the two gentleman at the front desk immediately adjusted our accommodations! This was a huge relief after our long day of travel. Spacious room! Lots of space. Very clean and comfortable. Will return again!

This place is close to 101 for easy on, off but noise is not an issue. Comfortable surroundings if you want to take a morning walk. An advantage was being able to park right in front of the room like in days of old and I didn't find noise from cars to be an issue. Room was comfortable size with microwave and refrigerator. Wide selection of channels on tv. Wi-fi worked fine. Breakfast had a good variety of selections. Also had a small gym to workout. My only suggestions would be to put and extra blanket in room during winter for those who don't want to turn up heater and front desk staff could be a bit more friendly.
