When you first walk in you see plants and colorful scenery. It wasn’t too crowded and we got seated as soon as we walked in. The service was amazing and the food didn’t take long to arrive. When we tasted the food it was excellent. Now we always go.

Really good choice of dishes packed full of flavours. Had a great evening with friends - we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. Disappointing there were no margaritas to wash it down but a nice bottle of wine helped.

With all the reviews we thought that this sounded like a good choice for dinner.
Our experience was the same as a previous reviewer who ordered the fish tacos and salad....a mix of disappointing and annoying! The 2 tacos are small, the fish (grilled salmon) is tiny and the beans and rice that it came with could probably fit into a small coffee cup. I found out what was "special" about the "house special" salad.....NOTHING!!! For $14 it is a shallow bowl pretty much romaine lettuce and a very, very tiny amount of cheese, sunflower seeds (pistachios?). In any other restaurant this would be a $5.00 side salad. We were duped again with the sangria. $10 on the menu (interestingly $12 on the bill) and it came in a glass 3/4 filled with ice. If I poured out the ice maybe (and its a stretch) there was 1/3 of a glass of actual sangria. Shame on me for reading the previous review and still coming....and shame on the LaVier for charging and not delivering.

Just visited LaVier Cuisine. Can hardly wait to come back for the food. A bit eclectic environment and a little tight but a fun colorful space. Getting service was a bit slow but if you are not in a hurry and can just relax and pause the food was delicious.

We had the pork chop, enchiladas mole and the taco sampler. Very different and very good. Not the typical taqueria but more Cuban influence with California twist.

There is a very large dessert menu and the rum soaked cake cup was very tasty. Their take on red velvet cake was also very good.

Stop by LaVier if you are in the area.

Had lunch here today and the fish tacos were quite tasty but not inexpensive at $14 for two small tacos, a very small portion of beans and some rice. My friend had a salad which was just average tasting and really didn’t have enough in it to satisfy her appetite but it was about $13 -14 as well... it was really mostly lettuce from what I could see and she mentioned that she finished it and was still hungry. The restaurant is cozy... kind of romantic at night I would suppose, but the lunch portions were small for the price paid in my opinion.
