We frequent this beach year round for it's accessibility and dog friendly (south) environment. Excellent for sunset viewing and long beach walks at low tide. Beware of summer crowds and a full parking lot.

Thank Doreen E

If you go south, you can unleash your dog and have a blast. If you go north, within 5 minutes you'll leave most of the crowd behind and have a wonderful walk/hike/run at the base of sea cliffs and pounding surf. Very photogenic, very cool, and very peaceful

hendrys is awesome. For 17.5 years my dog Mr. Petey and I came here. When he was a baby of 4 months he learned to love the smell of the ocean and as a youngster he loved to body surf out to get logs ten times over his size. If you walk down the beach a way, there are few people and often you can see dolphins or whales. I have fond memories and love this beach.

You can walk forever on this beach, either side. After a super long walk, stop by at the restaurant for happy hour. It is magical in September as the sunset are the most spectacular!

We spent several hours here getting some sun and people and dog watching. There was a nice viewpoint that could be reached from the steps that started at the front corner of the restaurant. One of the Channel Islands could be seen off in the distance adding to the picturesque scenery. There were convenient clean restrooms near the parking lot.
