I really WANT to give the property a high rating, as the people working there are great. That said, this is a traditional Motel, so the accommodations are very modest. And I would have given them a 4, but the road noise is a bit too pronounced for a light sleeper like myself. The bed was also too hard for my liking.

Now the good news: Clean, good location relative to getting around greater Santa Barbara, tasty scones and fruit for breakfast (free),

All in all, a solid place to stay.

Room Tip: go for the higher numbered rooms. they're further away from the street and quieter.

We travelled as a family with our 2 year old boy. Out of all the hotels we have stayed in this was the comfiest sleep we had. The room was modern and cosey - it felt like a bedroom away from home. Parking was a tad limited in the evening but they have an overflow available. They provide light complimentary breakfast bites and coffee in the morning. Room was kept tidy and clean throughout our stay. Good value for money and comfortable. Would stay again and recommend.

My girlfriend and I were stopping in Santa Barbara on our drive up to SF and we found the Agave Inn as a potential place to stay. After reading the great reviews we decided to book a room and we were glad we decided to stay here! Everyone at the front desk was very accommodating and nice when we checked in. The room was clean and comfortable and perfect for us for the night. We really enjoyed our stay!

My boyfriend and I were driving down the coast and wanted to stay the night in Santa Barbara. Agave Inn was close enough to downtown while being economically priced. It was very quaint and quiet even though it is located on a main road. Check in and check out was super easy. The light continental breakfast was just enough!

If you are visiting Santa Barbara, this is a small motel with a comfortable bed, a little round table and chairs, coffee in the room, good remote control. A/C, a spacious shower and very conveniently located to a half dozen good restaurants (walking), downtown (5 minutes drive) in the San.Roque neighborhood.
This is not a place to hang out all day like a resort, but why do that if you are in Santa Barbara?

Room Tip: Not next to state street
