Had a business dinner at Bistro and was surprised to see a piano player who sings. It was a throw back atmosphere in an elegant setting with very reasonable prices. The food was delicious and elegant too. Our server, Sean, was very friendly and professional. If you are looking for an elegant and proper Restuarant with reasonable prices and live piano music, this is the place to go in Santa Monica. Even the wine was very reasonably priced, most bottles between $30 and $50.

Food was great! We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time but our entrees took a very long time (45 minutes) to come out. But overall, the food and hospitality was amazing. The bread and olive oil along with our Zuppa was quick and great. Our server was so nice and very accommodating. He suggested places to visit and help with traffic. Would definitely come back next time we are in Santa Monica!

My sister and I walked to this restaurant from our hotel in Santa Monica....we were pleasantly surprised on entering that there was a piano player playing on a Wednesday evening. They were out of the steamed mussels , so we split the clams. They were beautifully presented, and were delicious. We shared the halibut entree special, and it was also artfully presented, and fabulous. We shared a split of the Martin Ray Pinot noir, with our meal, which is always wonderful. We also shared the chocolate soufflé for dessert. Exquisite! Our waiter was very attentive, and did an excellent. Bistro of Santa Monica is a true gem....reasonable prices, with deliciously prepared food.

I met a colleague for lunch. We were both pleasantly surprised by the service and quality of food, as well as the reasonable prices.

In an area where so many nice restaurants are so highly priced it is nice to find a restaurant that has the great food without the outlandish price tab. The seared ahi was excellent, as was the salmon, and other plates our table had ordered. The service was also very good. Will definitely be going back! Well worth the visit.
