Firstly, it was a bit tricky to find, then to find the correct car entrance. Well my hubby calls it a 4* because it's close to his favorite surf spot...I give it a 3. The location is excellent if you want to hang out at the Seal Beach pier area and the main street which contains many excellent eateries and shops. The place is wheel chair accessible and they even have a lift for wheelchairs into the pool. The pool area or center of the hotel is open, no roof so on a sunny day it is probably great...unfortunately, we had no sun so it was very cold and breezy down the hallways. We actually stayed in 3 different King Bedrooms and all were slightly different, but ok. The bathrooms have sliding, non-locking doors and only one had a real handle making it easy to open the door upon exit. The shower doors are clear glass... Breakfast hours were great. Had the usual fare plus microwave burritos and salsa. Breakfast staff was helpful. Office staff was not real friendly but helpful when needed and problems arose. Free Wi-fi , balcony, iron, hairdryer, refrig but had to pay extra for a microwave.

We are so happy we did our homework on the Pacific Inn. We had 3 great nights there before boarding our cruise ship in Long Beach. If you are looking for a few days break or waiting to board a cruise ship, this is the place for you. Everything is within walking distance and you don't need a car while there. We had driven there from Las Vegas and returned our vehicle the next day. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service and you can just call or pre-arrange your pickup return. The shuttle will even drive you to the cruise terminal. The rooms are big and have a kitchenette and a balcony. A complimentary continental breakfast is included. There are very pleasant young ladies working in reception and are a big help with tourist info. Seal Beach is a hidden gem and has a village atmosphere. Main Street has lots of great shops and restaurants and is just around the corner from the hotel. The beach, pier, and a Marina are only a 5 min walk. The area is very safe and we went for a walk every evening to a different restaurant. We made one big mistake though. We booked our last night in Long Beach before boarding the ship. Our hotel was on the water- front and not a safe place to go walking or to go to a restaruant after dark. We will definitly go back to Seal Beach whenever we are in LA, and so should you. G&J KNOX

Although this hotel is in a good location and the rooms are spacious, the service and some other issues made my stay unpleasant. I arrived way past check-in time and had to wait at least 45 min. to finally get to my room because it hadn't been cleaned. Other guests in front of me had the same issue. Once I got to the room it was clean, but the furniture and even the bed skirt showed some very evident signs of wear. At night I was woken up several times by noises from the water pipes, which for some reason were very loud when people in the next room used their bathroom. On top of all this, I couldn't used microwave in the room because it was unplugged and there was no way to plug it in, the outlet was behind the heavy tv stand. The TV remote didn't work to turn on the TV either. Thank goodness I only stayed a couple of days in this beat up hotel.

OK hotel in an ideal location. Rooms are comfortable although starting to show some signs of wear. Our room happened to be on the open courtyard which unfortunately made it very loud at times to the comings and goings of other guests late at night. The continental breakfast is very convenient and a welcome addition.

Room Tip: Choose a room off the open courtyard for a quieter stay.

This hotel, while not by any means fancy, was perfectly situated just blocks from the beach and Main Street's funky shops and restaurants. We had a lovely view from our room. It was reasonably priced for its location and the staff was friendly. The free continental breakfast was just enough to fuel us up before we started our day and the cookies in the evening were a treat (but they were grabbed up quickly!) If you're looking for a posh, waterfront experience, head down the road to Huntington, but if you want eclectic, beachy and affordable, The Pacific Inn is a great deal.
