I am very confused by the reviews. I will agree the room is beautiful, but that’s where it ends. I paid extra to get a balcony room. In their pictures on Expedia they show a beautiful garden outside of the balcony. There is no garden, it’s a parking lot! If you like looking at your car and other cars in the lot you will like a balcony. At 5 AM a horrible odor overtakes the room. It was so awful I thought about leaving at 5 AM. It is an invisible host. If you need anything you must text and send a picture of the problem. They will then decide what they want to do. The heating until is a little complicated. We figured it out. The room has a lot of technology. Everything is on a technological locking systems.
The worst is they will drive you nuts getting a card for incidentals. They will keep calling. I found this very inconvenient as they were paid in full and I was touring places while they kept calling. They should put a host on site when people are arriving. They charge like a full service hotel. There is zero service.

This hotel is an invisible service hotel, made the trip easy to navigate and stress free. Parking was plentiful, the room was so spacious, and the staff was kind every step of the way. Will be coming back to the Winston!

The Winston was a terrific place to stay. The accommodations were amazing. The room was super spacious and immaculate. The honor bar was well stocked with local goodies and drinks. The location is right in downtown Solvang and walking distance to all.
